Craig,. Amazing work ethics and dedication,..
I subscribed to izzy a while back and your channel naturally found me via algorithm,..
When I found izzy I was so impressed with his work and trowel art,. I didn’t think I’d find anybody else that compares to him to be honest but must admit that you both are on par with eachother,..
obviously I’m more of an Izzy fan as been subbed longer but I’m also slowly getting through all your content too and am growing very fond of you too,. Starting to place you both on par with work quality and trowel art,.
I no alot of other masons and tradesmen will say this trowel art is natural and easy etc,. I agree a tiny bit with them as obviously if you lay bricks day in and out will come 2nd nature,.. but let’s see the ones who say it’s easy etc set up a corner with perfect beds and perps,.
I can lay bricks myself good enough (DIYer now but taught basics at 15 as a Labour building conservatory bases )
Can’t lay no where near as quick or neat as you guys and slowish but I get the job done,.. by that I can honestly say bricklaying is not easy at all, well not as people make out ,. But skill, experience and technique are huge factors,.
I’ve just finished building a set of steps in a rear garden for a client that are 1.2 metre tall and 2 metre long (clients request on sizes) and also nearly finished a front garden wall 0.55 metre tall x 6.75 metre long (double skin),. Took me just over 20 hours to build the wall 😂 and around 30 to do the steps 😂 slow as F but I took my time for ensuring plumb but noticed the more bricks I put down the more flow I had with trowel etc
Love Izzy’s and your content for tips etc 😎
Would love to see more of you and Izzy together but I get it that you both live so far away ,..
I no basics but can I ask a personal video request please?
If you ever get time would you consider videoing a kind of how to video for beginners and basics ?? Aimed at DIYers obviously as I Would love to advance more
Thank you and keep up the awesome skills 💪

Ahh thank you mate, I really do appreciate that man it means a lot 🙂🤝
Issac is a really good bloke and fantastic bricklayer, I am glad you watch him mate, he has a lot of knowledge and is excellent at communicating it across to his viewers both vocally and visually 🙂
I agree it is 2nd nature but yes, it’s not always easy, especially when working on private work like Issac and I do. A new house is much easier and faster to build than an extension, less thinking needed too. An extension for example has much more involved that you need to think about.
Regarding your speed mate, it comes naturally. Its not a big deal, yeah if your out onsite and need 1000 bricks down a day to cover the wages yeah, but if your learning and doing your own work dont rush the speed it naturally comes. Like you said, once you had a few down and the wall is set up nice, level, plumb and your hand is in it/ got a rhythm going the rest can flow and it feels more natural. I say hats off to you mate, they are nice big jobs you’ve done and the time scale is irrelevant. If the finished job looks good and makes you feel proud, you’ve done the best job for the customer 🙂
Yeah, there is a few miles between Issac and myself. But I agree it would be good to meet up again soon and work together again. Maybe I’d stay the night prior next time. It was a killer going down and back in one day, I felt rotten all day 🤣 i’d been up until around 2am the morning before doing a tax return, had a few hours and left at 5:30ish to get the for around 9am, done the day and came home, stopped to many times on the way back so it was around midnight when I got back I think. 7 hrs later i was up to start a new extension 🤣
I would absolutely do a video for diyers mate, always wanted to its just finding the time. We try to get ahead through the day and get the recording in that way so we dont lose to much work time. But of course mate, I will do a video like that 🙂
Thanks again for your kind words and comments mate, I really do appreciate that 🙂🤝
