My head-canon: Plankton made a fake SpongeBob to kill the real SpongeBob so it could steal SpongeBob’s job, and successfully cook Plankton a Krabby patty so he could get the formula. Not only would Plankton succeed in stealing the formula, he would also get Mr. Krabs’ restaurant completely ruined due to not having a fry cook available. However, this plan backfires like always. Right after Plankton makes the fake SpongeBob, the fake SpongeBob smashed Plankton with its foot, killing Plankton, and then went to kill SpongeBob and anyone who got in its way. SpongeBob ran for his life when the fake SpongeBob found him. He had to contact every single one of his friends to help him out, but nothing affected SpongeBob positively calling his friends. Patrick thought the real Spongebob was the fake, began to attack the real Spongebob, and the fake Spongebob incinerated Patrick. Squidward let SpongeBob die but the fake SpongeBob found and strangled Squidward until he died, Sandy’s helmet got broken by the fake SpongeBob, and Sandy proceeded to drown, Mr. Krabs fought it with a gun, but the Fake SpongeBob stole his gun and shot Mr. Krabs in the heart. SpongeBob led the faker to town, and the faker proceeded to burn the whole town down, and still chase SpongeBob while in the process, so it was all on SpongeBob to kill the faker and save the town. After everyone was dead, the fake SpongeBob proceeded to transform. This transformation caused it to become much faster and bigger than SpongeBob. It was then that Spongebob remembered a myth, it had said “The only way a fake can die is by the hands of the real deal.” But he thought there was no way he could defeat this guy… right? To his luck, by a minuscule chance and all of the advantages the fake SpongeBob had on the real SpongeBob, SpongeBob tired the faker out, and he stabbed the faker in the heart with his spatula he conveniently had, and the faker sends out a huge burst of energy. Suddenly, after the burst of energy releases, everything in the town is back to normal. Sandy, Patrick and the townsfolk were revived and living completely fine (yes, Plankton too) and Plankton has once again, been defeated. SpongeBob also wins an award for saving the entire town from the faker. No matter how hard Plankton tries, he will never get that formula! Edit: The episode would probably be called something like “Impersonator” or “Berserkbob”
As SpongeBob runs to the crusty crab.. he tries his best to escape the hole-less cartoon looking sponge. Faker Sponge is trying to catch the somewhat fast sponge but gets irritated trying to so he’ll have to fight Mr. Krabs next if spongebob gets there in time.

Since he was imperfect,he was a little insane,then he got injected with something in a random syringe,which led to his transformation ability. And he's been going for characters until he got to the video events.(Patrick,Mr krabs and spongebob himself)
