I have had the same like mower for the last two 1/2 years, but mine is a 2018 model which has a plastic gray seat and a 23HP Kohler engine. I purchased it used with 11hours on it. I use it commercially on residential lots and I have put over 360 hours on it. The 42” ten gauge fabricated deck built to last vs the molded one offered and is key to getting into clients back yards with the standard sized swing gates vs larger mowers. In my time of ownership, I have had to replace the battery each year, multiple sets of High lift blades, (6)deck belts, one drive belt, (2)belt side safety covers, the clutch, the PTO switch, both mandrel spindles, front tires, belt spring retention screw, front tires, the left fender. Oil with air, oil and fuel filters, (2) plastic mulch attachment kits. I expect to change the safety shut offs which are activated by the hand controls under the seats soon. All in all she runs great and is very strong for a smaller mower. One key to keeping her looking new is to never spray it off with a water hose or pressure washer. I blow mine off with a air blower, and I attempt to not cut wet grass. Getting these things wet is a recipe for rust. I also ensure the grease fittings are lubed regularly along with pretty frequent oil changes. A key to saving some maintenance cost is to run ethanol free fuel, do your own maintenance and order service parts online belts, blades, filters etc. they are cheaper online than at the Husqvarna dealers. The plastic mulch kit (that you must order separately) is a must have item. No need for the grass catcher once you have the mulch kit. Eventually I will be moving on to a fully commercial mower soon, but owning this mower has taught me a lot about zeroturn mower upkeep and paid for itself three times over easily.
Hi.. I have a small landscaping business here in Europe and was thinking about possibly getting one of these, but reading what you've had to repair in 2,5 years don't sound good.. Also I would cut almost exclusively damp and tall grass with it since my clients are on a 3 week cutting regime. Yeah I know, the grass gets tall but the good part is the fact that these clients aren't demanding. All I have to do is knock down the grass without mulching or bagging... Also we don't have an ethanol free gas here so she would be using exclusively the good ol' unleaded..
got one of these 3 weeks ago, mowed my 5.5 acre horse property that has no horses. it did great, the pastures had not been cut all summer, were 2 ft tall grass and weeds. Had to make two passes in the deep stuff but the whole place looks like a lawn now. Engine is very powerful, I have the Kawasaki. I have the Z254F special edition which has very aggressive tread tires.
Probably one of the best entry level mowers you can buy. They are delivered in a crate with the wheels already bolted on( supposed to be anyway) so that’s a factory defect. Your dealer didn’t help matters by not prepping it correctly and inspecting it. They should have replaced that rim because it’s ruined and probably the mounting studs too.
I haven't had any issues with it since the delivery fiasco. I might need to get the steering arms adjusted. I try to leave it in neutral and the left side will pop on and cause the mower to turn off when I hope off. I have a little over 70 hours on it now. Thanks for the comment 👍
Man Ive got John Deere L110 and L111 Love them mowers. Just got my first Zero Cub Cadet I no that feeling. I use mine semi commercial also. Zero turn is a game changer.
How does it cut???? My John Deere cuts it short as hell.., Does it cut it high????? My customers complain that I’m cutting the grass short but it’s My John Deere...
You have an option to cut between 1 to 6. 3 for my area shows a little brown. I try to mow at 4. My john deere was a 2005 so it was lacking for cutting depth adjustment.
O hope this goes back to the factory. They shouldn't give out products like this, and people will not buy them if they are made this poor. I hope they are improve the quality check.
Last fall l bought a new Dodge Charger Scat Pack and the dealer didn't fill the window wash reservoir. Everyone is sleep walking these days and not paying attention.

Nice!
you can buy the hitch for it on their website, the light that can go on the front, a bagger, all kinds of stuff.

I just got that mower and I use it on slopes. You just have to kind of lean over to the side of the seat but you got to be confident
It sounds like Dan Akroid is narrating this video lol. Good stuff bro!
I hear that a lot. Thank you.
Ray Zalinsky from tommy boy, lol
I thought I heard him say, "The thing's got a cop motor and plenty of pick up."
@@AStanton1966 “SCHMODS” 😂
You can add a tow hitch.
Very thorough review . Lots of good information.
Thanks David!.
Hi, have you saw the new Husqvarna Special Edition 42inch zero turn?
Hello, I haven't yet.
Have the same mower use it on 4.5 acres seems to handle it with ease and its rough ground.
I'm glad that I bought it. It drastically lowered my mowing time, fuel use.
Man Ive got John Deere L110 and L111 Love them mowers. Just got my first Zero Cub Cadet I no that feeling. I use mine semi commercial also. Zero turn is a game changer.
It's cut my mowing time down considerably. Less yard work and more play.
@@TroysHobbies 💪🏽
You can change that seat out if needed. I had to get a taller one for my 50inch Cub Cadet the short back seats just don't work for me either.
@@bigsonslawncare I agree. I'll have to look into taller seats. I've had two back surgeries.
I've got one it a little slow but cuts good I've made money with mine good luck , ps I like mine
Thanks.
What modle? They usually arent very slow

the kawasaki's are the best engines for riding mowers hands down

How has it treated you the past year?
Very well!. No issues to report
@@TroysHobbies Awesome, thank you. I am looking for my first zero turn too. Good chance I will get the same model.
I currently have a broken down 2013 hustler raptor. I have an acre of land. Been considering the 48f. Fabricated deck . I dunno. Are they comparable??
@@jeffrothegamer Hello Jeff. Sorry, but I have to experience with the Hustler brand. I don't ove ever seen one. So I can't make any comparison.
Dope
Did you ever figure out that the seat is hinged and lifts so you don't have to crawl on the ground to access the battery 😂
Yup, right after the video
He, he😂... at least you weren't installing a new one.
