It was a company truck,they traded it for a newie,it had sports mufflers with 7" stacks,bit of a hassle going through little country towns at midnight :)....
I get that. Hard to keep the noise down with 600 HP! I think even back in the eighties jakes were frowned upon in places like Toowoomba or Warick. Likely the techies are working on another way to slow rigs down and eliminate jakes altogether.
Yep, I'm 60 and so many changes that this tech revolution is impacting. If you are young I reckon the Jake will be one of those things you reminisce about along with manual gearboxes.

Yer it pulled well,that load was heavy,fully packed of well fed heavy angus cattle,guessing i was up around 75 tonne.
