It was. I used to put that in the title more often. When a landing was really smooth, but it never seemed to help the pull of the video, so now I usually just put some adjective like stunning or beautiful instead 😂.
I have to respect and admire your endurance. I recently completed a 12 day trip to the Czech Republic and Germany. Outbound the travel involved a flight string Dallas - Washington DC - New York LGA - ground transfer to New York JFK - London Heathrow - Prague. The return was Prague - Helsinki - New York JFK - ground transfer to New York LGA - Dallas! You have any idea how tuckered out this old body is? And you do this year round! Holy cow!
Thanks my friend. I truly love and enjoy running this channel and all that comes with it. But I'd be lying if I said, I didn't get worn out and a little burned out with all the flying from time to time. You can love something all you want, but that doesn't mean you don't get worn out. So I definitely appreciate you taking the time to post this and for acknowledging that it is also a lot of work to keep this channel running every day of the year. I don't get very many comments like this. Usually they're all more to the effect of "must be nice to fly all over the world for your job!" And it is. It's amazing! But again, there's a lot of effort and work that goes into the final videos people see here on the channel, and it's nice to occasionally be appreciated for it. So thanks my friend! Plenty more on the way! Here in about 50 minutes, today's flight posts and it's a good long one from Dallas to Honolulu! So be sure to give that one a view and like too!
@@sla31 One other observation: Airports are not actually airports anymore. They are SHOPPING MALLS that just happen to have departure points for airline flights as a side gig! 😂 I'm sure you know what I'm getting at and no doubt have encountered this in many other places worldwide. Even with the captive foot traffic I have to wonder how the shops in these 'air malls' stay in business. Just how many people who are more focused on making the next connection on their multi-stop 'basic economy' fare and running the TSA traps have the time and money to blow on these pretentious outlets and their overpriced junk? 🤣
@@kennethhoffman8845 100% spot on. Especially new build airports it's actually difficult to find windows that look out onto the ramp to see your plane. All of that real estate has been given to shops and restaurants instead.
Despite the Altocumulus Lenticularis clouds over the Alps, there was no turbulence, interesting. Nice video. But that annoying kid! Oh gosh, hate those screaming unruly children!
I had not heard that. That's very sad. Airport ramps are dangerous places, and this is especially true when dealing with propeller driven aircraft. Years ago, when I worked for Envoy Air we had ATR's still. It was drilled into my head when I started to never, ever, go anywhere near those propellers, even if they weren't moving. I then drilled that into every new hires head once I was a supervisor. The area around the props were called the "kill box" for a reason... Sadly, several people lost their lives over the years working for Envoy (at the time it was still American Eagle Airlines) by inadvertently walking into the spinning propellers. The ATR's also had what was called "hotel mode." No idea why it's called that, but it essentially was an engine running with a brake holding the propeller static. They didn't have APU's like all aircraft do now, so to get power they had to start an engine. Anyway, although this was a great feature that allowed them to get power without the blades spinning, it also caused another problem. And that was that when the crew released the brake and told the aircraft to exit hotel mode, that blade started spinning fast, in an instant. There was no spool up or wind up. That engine was already spooled up and that blade started spinning instantly. You can see where the problem might come into play if the crew did that without checking first. Anyway, that's sad but it does happen sometimes.
Wonderful video of Austrian A320 landing into Vienna
Looked really smooth

Great fly! Have you heard female photographer in Kansas was killed after accidentally walking into plane propeller in town of Derby?
