It's good that BA has picked up this route after Flybe went under - I've been wanting to fly to Newquay for quite a while, and it's great to know this route is year-round! Might see if I can try it myself soon, especially since LHR is just up the road from me!
Excuse me, May I ask which is closer to plymouth, Cornwall airport newquay or Exeter airport? If I am going to plymouth from Hong Kong, which airport should I land at? Is there a connecting flight to plymouth? Thank you for your help. I like your videos.
They are probably both the same distance from Plymouth. Plymouth doesn't have an Airport anymore. It's probably easier to fly into London and catch a direct train to Plymouth.
Another great video, Daniel - can I ask how many people appeared to be on that flight? Edit: That little package of stuff you got - is that what BA are offering all onboard?
@@Trek001 It's quite possible that they are, although initially I believe it was a summer only route (should've ended in September) but it's now continuing into winter. I guess they have plenty of slots at the moment! And yes, it's nice to receive a free snack again!
@@DMTaylor90 Aye, it does seem to be the case. What puzzles me is that the departure times in both directions vary from day to day - you'd think they'd be very much the same. As for the service continuing, with the virus hitting as hard as it is, could BA have picked up that special grant award that Flybe were getting to keep services going and so gain a little extra money?
It is only operating on select days in July/August and possibly September this year, so unless you're searching for the dates it operates you will indeed get other routings. I paid £69 return last year, I don't know how much it is selling for this year but it seems popular.
I live 1 mile away from Newquay Airport and I much prefer flying on jets than turbo props. It's so much quieter and better.
Great video! I certainly didn’t expect to see some Interjet aircraft parked at Newquay!
I've been on G-MIDX when it was with BMI years ago!
Love this flight! On the left wing then I can see my house on the descent into Newquay!
Thanks for watching, that's cool!
Good one Dan . Enjoyed spotting the landmarks .
Cheers Dave!
Awesome video mate!
Thank you!

Indeed it's a good route, and some fares have been as low as £14 one way in Economy!

Thank you! I think there were around 60 people on board. Yes, the crisps, biscuit and water is given to all Economy passengers at the moment!
@@DMTaylor90 Wow - so, technically, economy passengers have got an upgrade!
I presume that BA are using the slots previously used by Flybe?

@@Trek001 I imagine they'll be getting the public service obligation money to continue it yup!
This plane G-MIDX is the plane i got when i went to Madeira
Was it full ?
Around 70% full I think
How much does this route typically cost? Skyscanner suggested I get a flight from Gatwick to Alicante, then Alicante to Newquey 🤣
