Okay, so I was at one of the Whispers Tour shows and this song was the finale. After Mike left the stage, the audience settled down and started gathering themselves and heading out. I started singing the "oh"s at the end and I had brought some friends with me and they started singing it too. After about 30 seconds of this, the whole audience kept it going. Mike ran on stage and everybody pulled out their cell phone lights and lit up the stage (the stage lights were on but they were dim). That was the moment I started an encore and I would never forget in my entire life. It was the best concert I have ever been to and I will forever love Passenger.

there was this surreal moment at the auckland passenger concert i went to a week ago when after he sang this song, he left the stage and when all the lights went out and the band left everyone was still singing the "ohhh OH OH OHHHH" bit over and over again but no one was leaving. it went on for a while and i'll remember it for a long time. that's the kind of legacy every artist should dream to leave behind. :)

I just saw passenger about two weeks ago in Chicago. I immediately noticed I was one of the younger people there and I hung out in the back with my mom and her boyfriend. The show was absolutely amazing, but when he sang this song the entire place was on their feet, singing together, and celebrating with random strangers. It was beautiful to see and be a part of, and in that moment I felt so at home. We all sang so loud, and even after Michael left the stage we kept singing the ending for three minutes until he came back out for the encore. That moment is now one of the best of my life, as we really did scare away the dark by singing at the top of our voices. Thank you, Michael for this beautiful song and for the amazing moment I had with it.

Katie, I just found this artist and this song for the very first time. It was shown in a TV piece as the favorite song of a young woman who had just been released from prison and it played on the car radio as she drove away from that place and into the night.
The lyrics drew me in and to this video, where the whole song made my heart soar. It is 4:14 AM in Tacoma and I'm sitting by my kitchen hearth fire and your comment made me burst into tears.

It's unbelievable that a well-composed song like this is so underrated, the first time I listened to this song, I immediately loved it, this is a like Liberation anthem song, telling us: "Hey don't forget that you're a human being that needs to enjoy life too, don't put yourself in your own prison (workaholic or any other addiction) you deserve to be happy and to be free like a bird. Meaning is subjective, something has meaning TO YOU. The meaning of things is defined by the people that give it a meaning, this is the meaning behind the Twenty One Pilots Symbol (at least to the band members(and me)), when asked what it meant they answered it means nothing, it has no inherent meaning, but they have come to give it a meaning, and that's the point of it.

An anthem to all the hamsters who run in squeaky wheels, desperate to run until they reach some place. Don't get me wrong I work for an awesome printing company and we make everything from brochures to arcade machines and my life and job are great but this song really makes me inspired! This should be a mandatory excursion for all businesses, and organizations with employees lol. Just once a week everyone takes a bus to the forest/park, and just goes nuts all day. Connecting with nature for just a few hours has a multitude of benefits, from helping with various mental issues (Anxiety, Depression, Mania, etc.) to simply shredding all your stress away.
