Six episodes have to have aired by May 31 which means that the latest they can start is early to mid April. I’m thinking March. Although there’s only seven episodes this season since they are breaking this up into two or three seasons. And that song was indeed future days, which Joel sang to Ellie.
Thanks for the spoiler warning - time to jump out (not played the second game yet)! But I'm glad you're excited! After last season's fantastic adaptation, I've every faith that this will be another emotional, intense season of TV! Roll on 2025!
Just a friendly heads up if you don't wanna be spoiled about the 2nd game I would steer clear and stay away from reading the comment sections on any kind of The Last Of Us Season 2 related videos because there are scumbags out there who just love leaving comments and spoiling the 2nd game for people they get a kick out of it.

HARD AGREE regarding avoiding comment sections. Glad you're excited as well! Last of Us Part II (in my opinion) is a masterpiece of a game, but it will also rip out your soul in the process :,)
Just minor detail. The bandage on Ellie's arm is from her covering up the bite mark. Most likely after she put acid on it.

As a huge TLOU fan who absolutely loves both games Part 1 and Part 2 both masterpieces it's my favorite game series of all time. I promise no spoilers. But the story of the 2nd game is so beautiful, complex, deeply thought provoking, it's really a human study on how trauma, pain, obsession, can shape us, and how one's decisions can have massive ripple effects especially living in such a brutal post-apocalyptic world. This trailer I got goosebumps all over it looks so wonderful I recognize so much from the 2nd game. Also Abby became one of my favorite characters, and Kaitlyn Dever is a great actress I look forward to seeing her portrayal. I simply cannot wait!!!

I loved this trailer, especially the tense segment where they cut out the sound (and apparently used that high pitched ringing sound from that very scene from the game too😩).
Btw we already saw a few additional lines with the therapist in the "Whats coming to Max in 24-25" video from 1 month ago. Seems like maybe the scene with the therapist may be a replacement for the very first scene with Tommy at the start of part 2, but hopefully i am wrong.

ooooh, that's cool but also concerning. I'm always worried about "tv spots" ruining/spoiling certain aspects of movies/tv. That would make sense though....
And TECHNICALLY yes. Now that I have growth on youtube, it technically is (and lowkey has been) my job to create, edit and upload content. I’ve watched season one 10 times. I was saying, I haven’t seen a hater of the show. But I wasn’t looking very hard, and the Internet is toxic as fuck so I pretty much stay away from it as much as possible.

The thing I'm most worried about is the structural changes for not just the TV format, but the multi seasonal format at that. Also, I'm worried to see the porch scene from the end of the game already in season 2? Maybe they just tease it since they have it recorded already but I really really hope they do not do a chronological timeline for the show... They will really ruin the whole porch scene & flashbacks if they do that, since they only really have their impact due to the hellish ride beforehand. Same with Abby's grave scene? That seems already way too much of a clue to give to the viewers imo (though one of the asocial clickbait youtubers already probably spoiled a bunch of people with his thumbnail by adding Jerry to it...).

13:55 I actually think it is right after the hole in one. The blood is still fresh and Maria is obviously going to be relieved to see him alive while showing empathy for his loss. There might also be changes with him leaving, since he will be a father in the show. Or maybe that makes him even more sure in his choice to protect Ellie.

15:11 That's while it is happening. Especially since they cut right to Joel after. They do the same when he gets asked "what did you do?" and they cut to Abby.
Also, the sound after the gunshot is basically the sound they had in the game after the hole in one when Ellie was only able to hear the muffled voices of the other group.
Oh, and the downvote addon for YT is complete bollocks and inaccurate as hell btw. It can show massive amounts of false downvotes that don't actually exist.

12:18 that has to be Eugene.. has to be a scene before the game.. to know the stakes of horde attacks.. Probably in the first episode ... So that in the second le third episode when the other horde comes for Abby, Joel and tommy the Viewer knows its high stakes.
OH! That actually makes a lot of sense. Really hope they'll expand on his character in the same was 1X3 expanded and took some liberties with "Frank"
Doesn't look like we'll get flashbacks to the before time that we loosely heard or read about, judging by the trailer, but who knows. I think it makes more sense that the horde we encounter also makes their way to Jackson, or that they kinda do some slight changes and bring Abby into Jackson instead, as I believe one of the earlier concepts was that she would infiltrate Jackson for a good while. So maybe there's some leaning on that alternate timeline for the show.
Edit: UNLESS Eugene is still alive in the show / dies during the show. Very much possible as well.
@@Dark__Thoughts i do think we Will work with snall flashbacks.. they did do It in the first season when introducing characters like bill... And well i believe we Will get flash backs of season 2 in season 3... What do i mean? The porch scene we see in this tráiler i believe we only see that stand off AND by the end of season 3 we get back to that porch scene.. ir you know you know what i mean
