So excited to see him meet Percy. Our Papillon Astor still gets car sick at 5 months. Your pup did pretty well but you did mention that he threw up. I hope Astor outgrows the motion sickness soon.
Your Papillons are adorable! My paternal aunt used to have a Papillon dog named Bella. She sadly died in 2013. My aunt has had many dogs, and after she lost Bella, she adopted a Pomeranian named Prince, who died in 2019 or 2020. She currently has a dog named Hendrix (I don't know the breed...my aunt says he's part Spitz)
Aww we he is adorable! So is his big brother! I certain Percy will love Atlas! How did you find his name? Give them lots of love, know you will!!! Looking forward to watch them both!!! Percy I still love you!💕
So cute, tugs at my heart watching! I'm looking at this breed....lost my beloved Parson Russell Terrier almost 2 years ago. Never thought about it until now, but perhaps getting 2 would make sense since they are small and can buddy up in the house? Would you get one to start with and then add another later....or start off w/2 puppies? I've always had female dogs.....would you get 2 females or a male and a female? Just wondering!
Hello, I am DettyG, and i’m looking for a reliable breeder of papillons, can you recommend one that have beautiful puppies like the ones that you have! got!
I wish Percy and Atlas better luck than I’m having with my female Papillon and our new male Papillon puppy. Sydney wants nothing to do with him and little Rhys keeps chasing, nipping and barking at her. If anyone has any tips that will help them get along I’d be forever grateful!
I have papillons too, will never consider another breed: 1. Rhys is the new baby, and Sydney is the elder, am I correct? Put a sweater or a little coat on Rhys. (Something that he hates wearing, you'll know it when you find it. Not a "cone of shame" per se, just something that makes him doubt himself a bit, and slows him down a tad. Maybe a dorky t-shirt, make sure Rhys isn't overly warm.) Our older papillon would not even look the puppy in the eye for four weeks! Drove her crazy. Weirdest thing. Then we put a dorky sweater on that puppy and BOOM. Suddenly he played with her. It changed everything. It was magic. I think our older dog just felt a little bit threatened by the very young, very active newcomer, and when she was taken down a peg, he warmed right up. Not saying it will work for every situation though. 2. The best tip though, and it's gonna take some work--- GO ON WALKS. Two dogs working together will work together. That is the ultimate tip. Who's the alpha? You are. You're the boss. They don't decide, you do. Walk and walk and walk. 3. Squirrels Are Evil and They Must Be Stopped. Our older dog knew this. But the puppy did not. Once the puppy was old enough to recognize the squirrels as the true enemy she stopped harassing our older papillon completely and was finally accepted on Team Dog. (I'd say the big change there was around 8 months). Now she works well with our two other papillons and together they will end the Squirrel Apocalypse. She doesn't have to wear that janky sweater anymore. In fact, she even takes point on most attacks against those evil freaks. But I have to tell you, it took months of vigilance on my part and behavioral modification--- because of Step 4. (They never do catch the squirrels, btw. I know some people out there are wondering. Evil never dies, folks! Those little plague vectors are FAST.) 4. Don't. let. your puppy. exhaust. your older. dog. The puppy is nipping the older dog? That's a big NO. The older dog is not a game the puppy plays. The older dog is not prey for the puppy to chase. So when it happens you have to shut it DOWN, immediately. Crates, time outs, play pens etc. (Papillons are soft-hearted and don't need physical punishments or ridiculous choke chains at all.) And we go back to Step #2! Walks. 5. The older dog eats first. ALWAYS. Don't take it to extremes, I see people recommending weird dominance stuff... Not with papillons. Just put the older dog's food down a minute or so before the puppy's dish is put down, so the puppy has to watch that older dog eat for a moment or two. 6. Sometimes... Well. This is where I have to totally support what this video is about. A GOOD BREEDER IS WORTH THEIR WEIGHT IN GOLD. There really is a big difference. There's socialization that happens as a teeny tiny puppy with his or her littermates; and there's no substitute for that kind of family learning. When you find that good breeder, you do what she tells you to do and, yeah, keep in touch! ....I can't say enough here. 7. I'm not a professional. Honestly, ymmv. I only know and love papillons, but again, I am not a professional and all of my advice here might be complete and utter crap. I've made mistakes. And when all else fails, talk to your vet or your breeder--- but--- I feel like if you can, please talk with professionals who have personal experience with papillons. Papillons are special.
I have never Caged my Dogs…I only purchase from Pure Bred Registered/Papers (AKC) Breeders. German Shepherd, Papillon & Chihuahua etc. I don’t breed nor Show my Dogs…when I buy a Pure Bred - I want the Dog to be as per specifications for the Breed…it will not be a champion (pet only) but the Breeder has tried. How old is Percy ? A lovely little Pap but, he has strange ears….he doesn’t have the characteristic Butterfly Ears that the Papillon is named after …..
I'm breeding my chi with a pap. Purebreds from those breeds aren't bad but it's alot healthier to mix genes. Also she's a puppy so the ears will develop..
@@Tailionis Backyard Breeders are just as bad as Puppy Farms. Exploiting Dogs for Profit.., why X Breed, keep the Breed Pure…Shelters around the World are full of Unwanted backyard bred Dogs & you are Contributing to the Problem - Pounds are overrun with Unwanted Dogs, most of the Dogs are Killed!!!!!! Saying that X Breeds are more healthy is 100% incorrect. You are living in the past…X Breeds can have a genetic Problems too….
Purina is cheap Supermarket food - I only give my Dogs ‘Premium’ Dog Food. I’m surprised - AKC Dog Breeders who Show & Breed their Dogs…do not give their Dogs Supermarket Food. Royal Canin is probably the most popular Kibble for ‘Show’ Dogs. Owners want their Dogs to look their best with healthy coats, teeth etc….

(Dont take this the wrong way, im genuinely curious)
