@sunnylovestrance - I have never been in a music school - my skills are result of 5-6 years of experimenting with FL Studio + hard listening to music. For getting vocals in sync with the song I use the built-in time-stretching function (vocal samples should be loaded as audio clips and time-stretching mode should be set on Auto). About the notes - It's not that hard to realise which notes are being sung/played by hearing them, or at least to the trained ear. I will check your tracks too!
@sunnylovestrance - For all my remixes I have used FL Studio plus some VST instruments (Synth1 and Sylenth1) and external samples. Usually it takes me half a day to make a remix, sometimes longer than this.
