Yessss we probably ate his char koay teow the most of any in Penang thanks to easily accessible hours and no lines. Definitely one of the best - the uncle is amazing!
The smaller the order the bigger flavor it packs I alwyas have this mindset w food..nasi lemak wrap in banana leaf..so awesome
Mikki Shih Tzu Good point! Also makes sense for the lor bak - all that five spice flavor in each small bite. Love banana leaf wrapped foods too!

Wonderful street art on the cendol place !! 😍😍😍
The Mamuchos Yes! Love it - fitting for such an iconic vendor
Those malaysian sweets are always so colorful and bright!
They are! And so tasty too
Hi Greg & Jumi, My Favourite As Per Below:
1- Nasi Lemak ~ Ali (B'fast)
2- Rojak ~ 101 (Lunch)
3- Popiah ~ Medan Selera (Lunch)
4- Pasembur ~ Kareem (Dinner)
5- Cendol ~ Teochew (All Day) 😂
*My Full Day Meals.....B'fast, Lunch & Dinner.
TQ For Sharing.....All The Best & Have Fun 😎
Kilat Studio Great choices! Only thing is that Rojak 101 only opens at night and Kareem Pasembur finishes up by 6. Thank you very much!
I miss Malaysia❤️😊 I live there almost 7 yrs / The food always spicy but one of my favourite is Roti with dal and Nasi Lemak the best😋😁 sending my full support hope to you around! 👍
Jane's Kitchen Can imagine you have great memories of Malaysia! Yesss roti with dal and nasi lemak are both so good! Thank you
@@FoodandFootprints Greg & Jumi, have u tried Cheese 🧀 naan, The Best Cheese naan in KL that goes well with thick curry chix flavour & masala chai? 🤓
Oh not yet! Is it from RSMY? Saw a few videos about their cheese naan. Love a good masala chai, though maybe a teh halia would be even better to help digest after!
@@FoodandFootprints Bingo!!! 🥳 Yes! Please try their cheese naan on an empty stomach, dip wt their flavourful curry chic + teh halia on your next trip! Whenever we have the urge of having cheese naan, no matter how far it is, we'll make a point to have it at RSMY 😝😋
That nyonya kuih! We remember that! Loved it there!
Love Nyonya kuih! Did you go to this spot too?
@@FoodandFootprints yes, we did go. It was so hot in there 😂
Lifetime Travelmates 😂😂😂 true
Can't go wrong with double-fried sausage. Really like this casual atmosphere dining in Malaysia. Kuih is also on our list of things to try.
Maria and Nabol You guys have to try lor bak (or lobak) - bet you guys will love it! Kuih is a must too
that is a very interesting roll, with the crepe looking outside
I really enjoy how shrimps are in many foods in Malaysia, that makes look forward to Malaysia, yes even more lol
The Mamuchos You can eat tons of shrimp and prawn out here!
@@FoodandFootprints yum yum
Rajak looks fire 🔥! Whenever we go to Malaysia, we’re gonn need your help with all the good and cheap food spots!
Aimlessly Drifting Haha we’ll have so many videos by then! You guys definitely have to come
D rojak buah looks scrumptious.
Really good! Something quite different for us
You guys are pros at eating with your hands. We need to practice quite a bit. That popiah looks magical. Looks like a burrito from here. Hehe
Maria and Nabol Haha you guys should practice with some rice dishes at home. You’ll get the hang of it!
wow green noodles as a snack? wow! crazy and crazy cheap
The Mamuchos These were tasty! Loved the coconut and sugar mixed together
That char koay teow looks amazing. We learned about wok hay from Uncle Roger. Hahaha
Maria and Nabol Haha wok hei is so key! The flavor it adds is incredible. Think we had this char koay teow 3-4 times
Cendol also on our list. That nutmeg drink sounds very interesting too. First time hearing about rojak... it has squid? Ugly delicious. hahaha
Cendol is a must! We’ve been hooked on it for a few months now. Rojak is really interesting - you can get it with or without squid
Best char kway teow! Dayum ranked it high! Man wish i wish there to savour it
Nick and Helmi Right up there with the best we had. At that price and with no lines like the famous ones, we went here the most
Everything is soooooo cheap but looks and sounds amazing! We trust your reviews and palates haha Man, we should move to Malaysia! 😅
Aimlessly Drifting Haha after being in Malaysia over 6 months, we wouldn’t mind living here! You guys will love the food here
Oh wow, my grandmother totally uses nutmeg in drinks! It really does open up your senses as well.
Nutmeg has such a great flavor! Having the fruit blew us away
@@FoodandFootprints Can only imagine.
D pasembur like rojak mamak looks good, even better when paired with cendol.
Really liked the pasembur! Have heard about the cendol pairing being a good one. We will need to try that!
Everything looks so delicious...
Zairil Azmir Zaiyadi It was! So much amazing food in Penang
Those workers in that area are so lucky to have this place right next to them. I love duck egg. Can't believe how cheap everything is over there!! Thanks for converting it to U.S. Dollars. I might start grilling on charcoal again after seeing these videos.
They are! Beats most office lunch spots in the US haha. Duck egg makes the char koay teow nice and rich. Our pleasure! We don’t often list or mention prices, but for this one we wanted to highlight how well you can eat for a low price.
Charcoal is the best!!
Those variety of kuihs... making me salivate! Love the setting of the shop, classic! Pulut tai tai is my favourite! (Sue)
Yesss ours too! Love that kaya with it. You guys should visit this place next time!
Now the pasembur seems more up our alley than the rojak won't lie. Hopefully we can make it to Penang sooner than later to check it out!
Loved the pasembur - it is another type of rojak, but from Mamaks (Indian Muslims). You guys will love Penang!
Greg loves that kaya 🤪🤪 and pandan that i never doubted for a second
Nick and Helmi Give me a jar of pandan kaya and it’ll be dangerous. Can eat it just plain 😂
Aww how nice greg thinking of pescatarian , 🦈
Nick and Helmi 😂😂😂 from time to time
How did you get to travel to Malaysia at this Covid time? Just curious.
Yes great videos with helpful info.
tomteh1 Thank you very much! We actually got to Malaysia one week before the MCO and we’ve been allowed to stay since then.
@@FoodandFootprints
So you're stuck in Malaysia for good?
tomteh1 Not for good, but we’ll probably be here for a while. We’re enjoying it, so we don’t consider ourselves stuck. Feel better staying here than going to another country right now
Looks so yummy 😊
It was!
