It’s the fact you have to work extra hard to detonate the grenade sometimes.

Yea because now you can’t be as aggressive with the grenades no more! Usually I would use for set plays into baiting my opponent in dodging so I can punish them especially if they are on burnout

Icl i miss the morty already, was rank 69 on him and can say the whip change is 100% a nerf, the old one was a true combo from jabs, u could follow it up with a dash/jump for free with any airborne attack, its max range was clearer, and the pull was stronger but only at the end which meant you could cover multiple distances consistently.
Also kind of hurts that the teleport doesn’t seem to have armour any more.
Obv preferred the old grenade too but the rest of the kit is pretty fine like the knock back adjustments and loosing the old down special hit-box.
Great vid tho shows that despite the changes his kit is still usable and can be pretty fun still

Thanks and yea I do miss a lot of the stuff that the old Morty got but I’ll just have to adjust to the new stuff he has now! I’ve been enjoying more of the character so more videos of him should be out soon

I think the running attack would be better for hitting the grenade instead of jabbing but I could be yapping

So I’ve tried it many times and it doesn’t really have much of knockback on the grenades! Only case scenario to where it would be effective is when hitting it on someone at a certain percentage (also depends on character weight) and then combo that to the grenade shot!

Yea I don’t blame you! His grenades now just feel so… bad… like I mainly use it baiting opponents or for anti air options but even then it’s still not that great

Bro some of these players are SLOW compared to now, 2 weeks later.
People have had time, the game has turned competitive. It's ridiculous , needs comp to spread some players apart.
I cant win with Morty anymore, not a single win.
