Hi everybody! I want to let you know that there are two places in this video that I need to make you aware of, so please go to the description above and read the update. Thank you all so much for your support. I truly appreciate each and every one of you! 😍😍
I enjoyed the tutorial but really you should edit the video with your corrections because I didn't read your description at all before starting. I believe TH-cam allows you to add captions mid-video without having to re-upload. I was able to correct myself because I've been crocheting for 30+ years, but someone not as well versed may come across your video and follow your mistakes without knowing better.
@@antoneeyuh Hello dear, I'm so sorry about that! I was having some low blood sugar and unfortunately, it affects my thinking. I wish I could add captions mid-video, but TH-cam has discontinued that feature so it's no longer available. 😬 I have no idea why they took that feature away. The only thing I could do is put the update in the description and apologize for any inconveniences or frustration this caused. Thank you so much for sharing this with me as I always appreciate suggestions! 😍😍😍
@@tesslovesyarn no worries whatsoever! That's really unfortunate that TH-cam disabled that feature. I still love your video and I remixed it. ☺️ I completely understand the blood sugar issue because I'm an ER nurse. I hope you have some snacks nearby! Bless ❤️
You are so sweet! I feel so lucky to have people like you here on my channel! I totally agree with you about TH-cam. I have severe hypoglycemia, and none of the doctors here can figure out why. So, I've been referred to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. They are reviewing my chart and will hopefully accept me as a patient. It's so nice to have someone who understands all of that and how awful it is. I have a boat load of peanut butter crackers! Thank you again for just being so sweet! 😍😍😍
@@tesslovesyarn oh wow, I hope so much that they accept you as a patient. The Mayo Clinic is amazing. Crossing my fingers for you that you find some answers soon!

Thank you so much for this great tutorial! I had no plans to ever make a chicken until I saw the Granny Square Chicken!! I made mine in Autumn colors. SOOO cute!!
@catrinanerey1596 Hi Catrina! These are so quick and fun to make! Just be mindful of your opening so you put the face parts in the correct position. The opening gets sewn together horizontally, so sew three sides, then squish the opening together horizontally and check to see what corner the face and other parts need to go on. Have fun, dear! 😍
Thank you Facebook algorithm! Someone shared this in a group im not in and it was pushed to me. I had a TERRIBLE craft show and the lady next to me could not stop selling chickens. @sandaramoore9660 Hi Sandra! Thank you so much for that sweet comment you left me. I really appreciate you for doing that. When your making these, be mindful of where you are sewing your face on so when you press the open end down horizontally, the face is on the opposite corner looking out and the horizontal opening becomes the tail end. I'm going to add some instructions on that to the description of the video just to clarify. 😀😍
Thank you for a good tutorial. I like the non-chain 3 method you showed. I'm going to try that when I make the chicken. It will be a fun project. Might use it for random acts of crochet kindness or back pack buddies. Take care of yourself and thanks again.

I am confused. It looks like the two granny squares are sewn together with right sides out. Then after sewing, the piece is turned inside out. And it looks like the right sides are out. My assumption would be that it should be sewn with right sides in, and then turned inside out. Is this correct?
You had me confused. On row 3 you said to chain 2 between the first two sets of three DCs (23:52). Moving on through that row, you said not to chain in between the DC groups. I had to frog it twice and decided not to chain. Is this correct?
@peacelovehomestead8361 I'm so sorry. I was having some low blood sugar issues. Yes, you are correct, no chains between the 3 DC groups, only chain on the corners. 😀
@HelenMorgan-g7r To make a Robin, change the colors in your granny square to Robin colors and leave off the comb. To sew it, sew three sides closed. So far this should be flat. Now, you want the open end at the bottom to be horizontal, not vertical. Wh red n you do it correctly, the seams form the letter T. Vertical with one seem horizontal. I hope this helps!
