Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment began its life in 1978 through MCA DiscoVision as "Walt Disney Home Entertainment". In 1980, Disney content was made available on videocassette under its own division known as "Walt Disney Home Video". Prior to 1981, their first releases were only live action films such as Pete's Dragon and The Love Bug. Starting in 1981 with Dumbo, they began releasing their animated films and cartoons on video. The Walt Disney Home Video name was kept until 2001, when it was once again named "Walt Disney Home Entertainment". Starting in the late 1990s, the company began producing DVDs, and in 2006, they started to release Blu-ray discs. Since 2007, it is known as "Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment".

Forever grateful my sister kept all of the old Disney VHS from our parents and grandparents. Grew up with that sorcerer Mickey mouse logo and this video brings back that little spark of excitement I had as a kid when putting on a Disney movie

I remember the 1986-2001 (10:08) logo and the 1991-2001 (28:33) logo very well. It used to be on all the old VHS I used to own. Great times!!
Yeah. The 1986-2001 variant was on ONE disney tape I owned as a kid and that was a compilation of episodes from The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The rest were either from the Masterpiece Collection, the later Walt Disney Classics releases, or were from like the early 2000s with the coming soon bumpers that had the blue film reels and ambient music.

It’s too bad they didn’t have the golden Walt Disney Home Video UK version. All I could think of for seeing that here is from bumpers of the Netherlands. Even the “Great Ovation” was included for good measure, but no Feature Presentation bumpers included the logo.

10:07, 33:20, and 34:08 are all so nostalgic for me. I was born in the early 2000s, but most things I had as a kid were hand me downs from my oldest sisters (both born in the early 80s), and that included Disney VHS tapes. Watched a lot of Disney DVDs too.
I always used to see 34:08 on a Toy Story DVD or any other DVD that was from Disney.

I was always horrified of 33:20 as the background scared me, same thing with the castle and the night sky as I'm usually scared of fucking space. I also remember Disney Videos being on one of my teacher's VHS tapes during 6th grade even though WE HAD STREAMING (this was like 2-3 years ago) and one of my older teachers from 2nd grade gave me "The Tigger Movie" on a VHS, which I thanked her for. I'm still questioning why we still have new VHS in 2022

Aww! I surely do remember some of these logos, especially the 2001 logo. Saw that a lot on DVDs that I rented at my local video store, which closed down and eventually got replaced by an Asian market. Thanks for watching!

Apparently all the Disney cassettes must have a hologram in the packaging to prove it's real. All of mine were.
The same is with Vision (an European film and home entertainment company)'s cassettes, except the hologram's in the cassette.
Update: ITI Home Video's tapes must have a hologram both in the packaging and tape. All of my tapes from them do.
