Amazing video per usual Cole!! It amazes me how many birds you always manage to find. And I love it when you let the birds work and have your clients simply enjoy the show. Most guides want to get their birds as fast as possible and get out of the field. I truly believe that their clients are missing out on the best part, watching the birds work without the shooting part. They always get their birds, so why not give them that experience too? Keep up the good work. Have fun, shoot straight, and be safe out there my friend.
I agree David. I don’t exactly do it on purpose but I am stubborn to shoot only birds that decoy. Partly because I love when birds set their feet. It feels like you’ve accomplished something. On the flip side I don’t feel like it’s sporting at all to shoot birds that don’t decoy. You have to give the birds a chance to beat you you know? If you know they won and don’t decoy you get the chance to learn what to change. You learn something new everyday and that’s what I love the most.
In the tristars the instructions state to run 3boxes of hi brass loads through it. A thorpugh breakdown and lubrication with dry lube is the best thing for the turkish guns. If you do that itll serve you well.
Fun to see. My daughter used a .410 until she was 13. She ended up getting all 7 species of North American geese with a .410. Swans, cranes, turkeys too. Kid wore me out reloading shells while traveling.
I just got a 410 for my daughter this year and got both turkey tags filled. However we used the Federal TSS rounds which are so dang expensive. We got her the stevens 301. Have you tried steel shot on turkey with your 410?

This debunks everything that was ever told to me about a .410 when I was younger. Was told it was only good for squirrels, rabbits, and small birds. Videos here, shown geese taken, another video shows hunters taking deer with it, and been proven to be a good home defense weapon.

Apex and several other companies but it’s a lot cheaper and easy to load your own. Ask around I’m sure somebody can load you some and show you how to do it. Tss makes the .410 shoot like a big gun bc you can use smaller shot that hits harder than big steel and gives way more pellets.
My 5 yr old son killed a goose last Tuesday at 87yds with tss 9's on the water. I have him setup with a red dot and apex ammo. It's his turn when anything lands. We just have him stand up and use the blind crossbar as a rest in my jet boat

A perfect shot every time is unrealistic. I'm sure I'll get hate for this opinion, but I'll stick to my 12 and 10 ga.
I think you missed the point. The point was to show that in fact a 410 crunches birds dead. The second point of the video is for dads to get their son a good 410 that will actually kill geese if they are too young or small to shoot a 12 gauge. @@ColeTownsendThe no I didn't miss your point. You missed mine or you do not like what I said. The effective range of a 410 is 25 to 35 yards for small game birds, trap shooting or turkey loads.
