- Lucy Liu talks about her Stuyvesant High School education and how it helped shape her artistic career. Her words of wisdom on the idea of failure work for any industry, though!
such deep thoughts by Lucy...by far the best interview of her so far...
Grasso. Does anything else even need to be said? 😂
This is the first time I'm seen this video, and I've always wondered how Lucy got into acting as a career. As one of Lucy's classmates who shared the stage with her in high school and went on to Carnegie-Mellon for Theatre, intending to become a Broadway star, but didn't, I remember being surprised the night I saw her on ER, and was sure it was her (I had to watch for the credits to see her name), I've always wondered when and how it was she decided to really become an actress, because she didn't give the impression in high school that she would take that path. As an Asian-American woman from Queens, I'm very glad that she has helped pave the way for further visibility of Asian-American actresses. At least one of us "made it"!
Not only a physical beauty but inner beauty as well.
OMG! LUCY WAS A STUY KID? :O I'm missing out on my school's history.
Jonas Salk, Tim Robbins, Ron Silver, Erick Holder, Robert Axelrod to name a very few
@@michaelcohen2760 lmao Robert axelrod. Aka Bobby Axelrod from Billions
Beastie boys, I guess at the same time as Lucy
Stuy High she was two ahead of me.
I didn't know either. Interesting that her current co-star had starred in a movie with Angelina Jolie shot in Stuy when I was there. I wanted to be an extra, but my mom wouldn't let me go to school that early (Hackers 1992)
Really?! Cool. Didn't know that
1995...I remember that summer.
I was just looking at New York on Google maps and noticed this highschool so close to the Twin towers and now I'm here, so cool to know Lucy went there. :)
Yes, but she rarely gets to talk about it. I only knew because I worked with Vincent Grasso on a lot of theater productions when I was a student there, and he used to talk about her.
Vincent Grasso is no longer there?
@@shzwon123 sadly Mr. G passed away 3 years ago. He had been retired for some time.
The sounds of gunfire were very distracting to this interview,,,,
Give her a mike! Can barely hear her.
