Hi guys - Great webinar - Just starting in AppSheet - I have a query ref Excel, rather than google Sheets: what is the equivalent of the DEC2HEX in excel?
Hi @Gary, thanks for supporting the channel! Looks like the DEC2HEX formula is compatible within excel. Check out the AppSheet documentation here: help.appsheet.com/en/articles/1726606-manually-generating-uniqueid-key-values#:~:text=Observe%20the%20cell%20now%20has,its%20own%20unique%20ID%20value. Hope this helps!
I recognize that phone number, isn't that Jenny's number? or is it Tommy Tutone's?😎😁 Thanks for the awesome content, and the obscure phone number reference.
Do you have any experience and/or insight into working with P2P graph databases as a backend ... such as gundb ... which are accessed thru JS vs. an API?
Hi @Jim Moses, we don't have experience working within that database. Great question though! Are you interested in connecting those as data sources to AppSheet?

@@AppSheetTraining potentially, yes.
For menu sheet why we dont use only 1-2-3.... as ID. Do we need complex hex IDs allways?
is it just me or is coding way easier
Does anyone know the formula for the ID field, my eyesight is poor and screen is too blurry. Thanx
No worries! We got you covered. ID Formula: =DEC2HEX(RANDBETWEEN(0, 4294967295), 8) Have a great day!
@@AppSheetTraining Wicked tyvm Is it possible to only populate when a record is added?
