I'm just 10 minutes in the video and I can say this is really a gem. Education value is amazing for free content. Simon never surprises, we expect more this type of videos from you sir!
Interesting. His opponent was much better if not winning, but the positional advantage became decisive when his opponent made that one bad move. Very instructive.
Thanks Simon, very instructive game. Really enjoy this format as we get a lot of time to hear your thoughts and considerations. And your fighting spirit!
Really helpful for me. I know a few openings but often get stuck when faced an unexpected move. 3-5 minute ranked in the 1300s, 10 minute 1600s so thank you
I pretty much have exactly the same blitz and rapid ratings as you, but I seem to be stuck here. Hopefully more GingerGM content will help me proceed. Get this man 1M followers!
What do you think of the McDonnell Attack. I took your advice and often play the King's Gambit and I find that there are similarities, more like a Falkbeer with tempo.
u r the higher rated player why even bother getting urself into strange complications (as in knight takes e4) with tons of uncertainties behind the horizon if there is hardly any need for that ;S bishop e6 wouldve been just fine the better player wins more reliably in less tactical battles (where s/he sees all sorts of openings that r beyond the weaker players imagination) 😬
He got into complications because Nd5 followed by Qxd5 would have been positionally worse for him. Higher-rated players can also out-calculate lower-rated players. Also, Simon is a fantastic endgame player.
I love the reoccurring theme of the neighbours and their mowing/hoovering
Yes Simon, longer games are what we need. The best educational stuff we can have

Thanks for this. It was fun watching the GM squirming. JT ! I hope you see this and Simon's reaction to his stare into the abyss. Good Chess to all.
I love your long game series! I am glad to see you are bringing this back :)
JT is a good sparring, nice lesson Simon!
Thanks Simon, very instructive game. Really enjoy this format as we get a lot of time to hear your thoughts and considerations. And your fighting spirit!
Really instructive lesson about activity and knights vs. bishops

New long play game! My favourite series from you.
On the edge of my seat since that check on B5. Scary biscuits.... However, the GM comes out in the end game...
Longer games, that's chess is all about! thanks for letting us entering your mind!!
I subscribed, man!
Thanks for the content.
Exciting game, and great content. Cheers
Really cool game! Bishops vs knights textbook
23:57 after Be3 does he have Nxf7?
Tough game - your opponent played like a real Prins.
Thank you, Simon!

46:59 blew my mind lol "I can remember the game"
Simon should absolutely strive to look like that thumbnail when he gets older.
Man this baby sugar glider was famished
The meme on this video looks just like you when you turn 60, @GingerGM !
yes psycho cowboy great to see more content coming out you a real og a chess friend put me onto you and i like your style.
Wow, what a game! I would have panicked 212 times before the end of that one if I was playing White.
What do you think of the McDonnell Attack. I took your advice and often play the King's Gambit and I find that there are similarities, more like a Falkbeer with tempo.
What a game! Great ending
gxf4 wouldn't be followed by Nxf4 because the dark bishop was protected by your rook on the other side of the board
Get em Simon!
Gchess ...the Google of chess indeed.
Brilliant game.
Love your content!
I appreciate your help in my games..yes I’m a subscriber
thank you
Thx Simon
Put that opening books away? I just bought Killer Dutch.
I play a French but when they play Nf3 or Nc3, then I play a Taimanov
Grass grows. What can you do?
Pave over the grass
What's 'car hoovering'?
British slang for vacuum
maestro
What happened to the intro ,😜
Sometimes i play really good games and other times i play like a total noob =/
I miss the intro!!!
I am wondering, why Simon has only 60 K subscribers? clearly he is better than agamator, Botez or even gotham in streaming or explaining things.
Internet fame is mostly a matter of luck.
grand mastery
Great

Because of the backwards pawn on the semi open d file. That is losing positionally so at that point, mix it up.
