I used to work for a water vending company. We used to paint a certain amount of coins to test the machines and for various reasons. There were tons of coins painted.
I’ve always wondered why there were random painted coins in the rolls. Thanks for that info

A lot of bars would paint their juke box quarters too. These were the house coins fed in to lure the patrons into feeding the juke box.

@ronk6166 we had to test the coin co (coin receiver box) to ensure it was counting correctly among testing other parts and keeping the count separate from customer purchases.
I think that Shaun is one of the best in this Business. under stand him good and a great show every time.

I had a father-in-law that would get bep stacks of ones & fives; glue one end & peel them off the pad of bills in front of a cashier to pay for small $ items, the look on the cashier‘s face was priceless!
I also forgot to mention that the 1982 Large Date Copper Lincoln Cent Double Die Obverse also
comes with and without a reverse Die Crack at about 10 - 11 o'clock going from the corner of the
building right through the letter "D" in the word UNITED. I have one of each. Thanks again man!

(I have the 1992 oil smeared penny) .. when i 1st found it, i thought it looked like itd been flattened so i tried looking it up to see if there was a such thing. Didn't really ever figure out the answer I was looking for, so I just sat it aside and figured something would eventually come out about a penny that looked like it.
So ..it was nice to see that there is such a thing.. kinda nifty lol..

Seldomly you are sounding like it is a chore for you to get through another report? But, I know it goes with the territory; just a suggestion, I know you announce when you are taking a much needed break for about ten days; but, just to help yourself sound even more refreshed, it would be even better for your phyc., If you would take at least one day a week to rest; have nothing to do with coinage, or bills, not even reading "about money of any type whatsoever; just try it out for a little while; and see if you fill more refreshed with a greater zest to dig in and have all of your c in cillenders ready to go go go, fully charged every week for simply taking a day, once a week just relaxing with something else or better yet, doing nothing at all, for the one day a week.
Live life well and enjoy yourself!

I know that this is not the right video for this. I have about 70 of the gold dollars that we got from a scrap yard guy. Most of all of them are in great shape. I have 4 2000 denver in great shape and one of them is amazing! I have all kinds of these and may have some really valuable. Where can I take them to have them looked at to see which I need to have graded.

I have a 1982 in pretty good shape but the double die that it has is on the back side, I have to look at it again but I believe most of the double die is on the ( united )

I HAVE 1 $2 BILL THAT HAS NEVER BEEN CIRCULATED
Just recently renewed my interest in errors. Was just looking at the sold comps for errors on eBay sorted highest and was scratching my head over the legitimacy of most of those sales. Hardly any info, lousy photos if any even provided, just waaaay too many questionable descriptions if any. Are these just folks bidding up their friend's listings to just look legit??? There are obviously many high quality sales, some even graded, but the majority of the highest sold comps look very suspicious at best.
I have 5 of those 82s from brown to red.
I have thousands of coins.
I just discovered a mint error on a 2016 ND Roosevelt Quarter.
Theodore Roosevelt is doubled and then lightly stamped again starting to the left of the T in Theodore.
The whole coin is doubled with a strikethrough & die breaks.
Obverse & reverse.
What do I do with this coin ?
I have a lot of coins that have yet to be discovered.
1988 wide AM FG error double date where the dates do not touch eachother.
2009 Cabin reverse doubled.
My coins go back to 1827.
Not too sure where to go with these coins. I have yet to hear 1 positive thing about any of the grading companies.
Seems they keep the new finds and high dollar coins.
I am starting a coin channel just to show my finds.
They are CRAZY !

I think that is shellac on that Indian sent. I know back in the day they used to shellac their coins because they thought it protected them.

Question. Will PCGS or NGC give attribution to a "retained Cud" Lincoln Cent?, or is ANACS the only TPGC to do it?
Going through thousands of coins one at a time under magnification, in hopes of finding a doubled die that may sell for $40 on eBay. No, doesn't sound very profitable. If I spend that much of my time to find anything noteworthy, I'm not parting with it.
I found a few rolls of all S wheat pennies years ranging from 1929 to 1958. Some look like they were minted yesterday and i think there are a few errors. I want to get rid of them (and a ton of other coins i have) but don't know where to start. Any advice? Thanks!

I must have roughly 30+ 1982’s big date, small date plus the original 1982 in Absolutely gorgeous condition unopened all 7 varieties from the mint in 82’
I check every Lincoln cent with a loupe for doubling because I’m not aware of every possible doubled die out there. So, I’m pretty sure I haven’t missed the 1982. Just haven’t encountered one yet.

Indian Head cent was Laquered with black lacquer, this was and still being done to coins & sold at a premium!

I have a question. Where do you actually get the values for the coins? Because you show alot of coins that I'll turn around and check ebay sold listings and the very same coins ate realistically sold fir just around a dollar or 2. Do you base your value off of just 1 coin that sold for alot (probably shill bidding) or do you take multiple listings and find the average of them and base the value at that? I'm just curious, I'm new to all this and I want to start selling coins ! Boy it sure would make my day for a a famous TH-cam like yourself to gimme a response. I want to learn from a coin professional like you!
They overinflate the prices or go by the highest graded coin.
I use pcgs price guide as a reference.
I have sold a few on ebay for average price.
$5, $15, $50.
Not going to get rich that way but it gets them sold.
$50 for 1 cent works for me, upgraded.
Learn the grading scale from pcgs and go from there.
I am going to start a channel and show what coins are out there to find.
I have Thousands I have yet to go through, some are new discoveries.
I am also going to get coins graded and auctioned this year on that channel.
I am new to grading and selling but I have collected for 30 years.
I will show how us beginners can get it done....at my expense.
So you can see if it's worth it or not.

Omg i was looking all over for someone who had this error. 2 days ago i found one.i was about to toss it out because if its not on you tube must br machine doubling. Which it still might be lol because I believe mine has a bigger spread I believe it has the I in the In totally separated. So if i send you a crappy pic like that you can turn it blur and seee that close. I will send it over in 30 min. I also see doubling on Reverse.
