I love seeing everything y'all do, it's really incredible! I did have a question, at one point when you were pulling the plastic, I noticed one of the guys throw some soil on a spot that wasn't an end. What was the purpose for that? Thanks for helping us learn!

Thank you Catherine! The reason they put a shovel full of soil on the plastic at the spot was because there was a transition to a new roll of plastic right there. Sometimes on windy days, relative soon after the plastic is layed, the wind can get under the edge of the transition and slowly begin to lift the plastic up and sometimes completely pull it out of the ground. That little scoop of soil keeps all that from happening. Once the plastic has had a few rains on it, and we’re ready to punch our wholes and plant, we’ll clean any soil of the top and there you go!
