Excellent review. Despite the auto-rotate inconsistencies, this still looks like a decent colour e-ink reader. The fact that it also has Android onboard makes it hard to resist. Thank God Christmas is around the corner!
I got a Boox Go Color 7 about 3 weeks ago and haven’t charged it since that first day. It is now at 66%. I read a couple hours at least a day on it. I absolutely love this device. Being able to have all of my reading apps in one place is amazing. I also find the auto rotation a bit gimpy, but that’s really the only downside I’ve had so far with it.
Would you say it’s beginner friendly? I keep debating between this and to the kobo. I really like that it has the options to for other reading apps, this would be my first e-reader so I am a bit nervous which to get!
If you can use an Android phone or tablet you’ll be fine. Or if you’re just generally tech savvy. I wouldn’t advise my mother to buy one of these, but I think anyone who is open to trying to work out any problems will be fine.

Exactly - it is the absolute best!
The Boox Go 7 is my 2nd favorite right behind the kindle colorsoft.
I tried to buy a Colorsoft but Amazon is holding them from sale due to the yellowing issue!
I bought the Colorsoft and returned it due yellowing at the bottom of the screen and uneven lighting. It was defective.
That looks like a great e-reader. Also, you just changed my e-reader life with that font recommendation. It is amazing!
Glad it’s working for you!
Colour covers, cover colours is a whole tongue twister the way you were talking 🤣
Hahaha
