The word church appears from the New Testament. However, the meaning of the church began in the Old Testament. That is the temple. The temple built by David and Solomon was the place of worship for the Old Testament Israelites. And, before the temple, the place that served as the temple was the tabernacle. The tabernacle built by Moses was like a place where God and God's people met. Of course, the meaning of church in the Bible is closer to a community than a building. Now, let's take a look at the history of that church.
