Aww! I have a couple that are getting up there in age. I used to have Bronze and Albinos too, I miss them. Cories are awesome little fish and they truly do have character!
There they are!!! I've been waiting for this! I tried 2 different methods in my last spawn (i think i mentioned them in the last episode) the first was Deans method (like THE Dean lol) which is to keep them in a small container with methalene blue do water changes from the parent tank and it didnt work. I think it had to do with temperature but im not sure. The second was Nick's way (keeping Fish Simple) and i got a well over 75% yield. What i did was put the eggs straight into a 10 gallon with only about 4 gallons of water. Put a couple of almond leaves and alder cones in with alot of areation using 2 of the exact little sponge filters from Walmart and Artemiss microbe-lift and feed first bites. Also threw in 2 ramshorns... (artemiss is safe for them and plants) When i knew they all breached and were taking off (eating bbs and crused flake food) i started filling the tank more and snuck in some sand from the parent tank and floating plants. They took off and are thriving now in their 33 gallon all to themselves. I will be sharing it soon! Thank you for sharing! Great video!
Ohhh, I never saw the second method! I would be interested in trying that too! Awesome details in your comment! I'm thinking of picking up a couple more of those little sponge filters; they seem perfect for fry so far. I'll have to check out your update! Thank you!
Very nice - love Peppered Corys, had one that lived for 7 years once (still miss him - quite a character he was).
