Haven't been that way for years now Stuart. It's hard to remember just how bad the traffic once was. 09:11 Those houses on the left are great; always made me smile seeing them on the way to Thatcham. They look like they are about to fall over any minute but I'll bet they are still standing in a hundred years time! Cheers for the ride Stu. Ian
thanks for the ride Stuart not so long ago ,the was an accident on the M4 and Ihave cross Newbury TO rejoin Basing stoke and the M3 have a good weekend my friend Pat
Lived in Hermitage in the mid 80s and passed my test in newbury, it was busy even then, but the robin hood roundabout A34 A4 the 4009 to hermitage plus an exit for wash common I think was an absolute nightmare .Great place though, used to do the crafty raft race every year , Hungerford to newbury..happy days
When the Sandleford Link dual carriageway first opened there was a fatality almost immediately, when someone attempted to go down it on the wrong side.

After 30 plus years away I got totally lost trying to work out where you were. It has changed so much.

We lived on the Newtown straight next door to Hill Farm in the 70's. It was horrendously busy every moment of every day.

Used to walk that when I worked at Travelodge
