    1:28 "it's practically incomprehensible".
    ...RegEx enters the chat... "Hold my beer"
    Perl "Hey what's up guys? We meeting?"

    This is great intro and very easy to understand. Very clear explinations.

    An eloquent and well-crafted intro. Great idea to replicate a patch in a script. For this low/medium complexity patch, it really does come together as fast as patching cables!

    It is very useful for me! I learn so much from this video. When can I watch the next video about teletype? Hope it comes soon!

      I'm glad you found it useful. The next video shouldn't be too long - I will be showing how to recreate and expand on the Turing Machine in Teletype -- it will be in two parts, one part explaining in depth how Turing Machine works, and then the second part about how to program it in Teletype. The first video will be out tomorrow!

    Wonderful tutorial as always, thank you. I now have a crazy clock generator/modulator + sequencer (and LFOs...) for 0$ since it's free on VCV Rack and I can send the voltages to my rack thanks to Expert Sleepers ES-3, great day :)

    lol, i thought you'd be using a real teletype machine in some way, to make music. well, i learned this other teletype exists

    Would be interesting to see if chatbot gpt could write you some code ✊

    • @SoundVoltage

      Sadly, Chatbot GPT has an unfortunate habit of getting things wrong. I spent a few hours over the last couple days talking to it about a range of topics from music theory to D&D to Hamlet, and in about 75% of requests, it gave me something wrong or inconsistent.
      Chatbot is really cool and it's exciting, but it'll be a while before I trust the code it generates :)

    • @SoundVoltage
      @SoundVoltage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just tested it. It tries to write Teletype code, but it gets it completely wrong, not even the right syntax. That's really my main takeaway from my exploration of ChatGPT - it is very confident in it's responses, but also often wrong. That's a dangerous combination.

      @@SoundVoltage "it is very confident in it's responses, but also often wrong"
      Hey, I know that guy! It's that one I see all the time, always smirking, making faces, brushing his teeth, combing his hair, cutting his mustache, staring straight into my eyes... ugh, such a punchable face.
      Unrelated, do you know if they make acrylic bathroom mirrors?

    • @phelper4554

      Have you provided chatbot with some example code? So that it can learn?

    • @frechjo
      @frechjo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@phelper4554 The system does not actively learn from the users. You can imagine several reasons why it would be a terrible idea to leave it on it's own to learn from what people tell it on the internet.
      (I'm confident about my answer :P)
