I've never seen this movie, but "It's not my job to make you feel like a man" is one of the best lines I've ever heard in a movie.
Not good enough to convince you to watch the movie
Fun fact: In the mahjong scene, Rachel had a winning hand, but she discarded her last drawn tile letting Eleanor claim it and win. She then reveals her hand, showing Eleanor that the only reason she won was because Rachel let her.
For what it's worth sophie you have one of the best edited reaction channels . Appreciate all the hours you spend putting these vids together .
Omg thank you 🥹❤️ this means a lot!
@@SophieLents would appreciate if you could react to Kiss of the Dragon
@@SophieLents would honestly love for you to react to the movie Kiss of the Dragon
Omg what a treat! A reaction to my favorite romance movie to date!
That wedding is RIDICULOUS -- and I cry every time I watch it (or a reaction to it)😂
Sophie: Where is my fairly tail?!!!
Me: Same girl 🥲
That Oppenheimer edit was crazy
I haven’t seen this movie before! But I can’t wait for this reaction.
Sophie, I know that neither of us in this panel, including me, are responsible for making you feel left out when it comes to relationships, but I apologize and don’t be too hard on yourself. I’m sure anyone would be fortunate to have someone like you. In regards to this film, it really shows you how certain families are, especially those in the upper economic class of society. When it comes to Asian people, they’re all about tradition, respect and most of all, honor. Traits that I can admire since I’ve been raised with such things but if they’re heavily centered on that, it can be overwhelming when strive to be “perfect” when even they should know that no one in this world is perfect nor could anybody be perfect since that doesn’t exist. I appreciate the effort that Nick has put in to make his relationship with Rachel work but he should’ve known better than to assume that they’ll just overcome it because everywhere we go, we’re always surrounded by those who are quick to judge us in every way. Furthermore, Rachel’s friend and Astrid are the real ones here because they taught her how it is to live in their world of high standards, luxury and wealth. Plus, the fact that her husband treats her like crap simply because he feels like crap every time he’s with her is completely absurd and frustrating because she has done nothing to deserve such disgust and anger from him. If I were in his position like Rachel’s, I’d be more than happy to have a spouse who can support herself by any means because it shows that she’s not helpless and strong, with or without me. In this case, I wouldn’t go under pressure to be the hardcore provider of the family, even though that is my sole purpose as a husband and father.
With this summary, I hope that you find someone who will love and appreciate everything that you are, just as you are more than satisfied of who you are and know your worth as a person. I’ll do just that when I decide to share my life with someone special.
This is the Asian “Meet the Parents.”
Lol, I had the same thought
I really enjoy this movie. The wedding scene is beautiful and Rachel's game versus the mom is so cool of her. True girlboss.
I want to read the book to see how it differs. I also just like Henry Golding a lot. If you want another Henry Golding movie with a different vibe I'd recommend "Monsoon."
Many actors are famous Asian American, singaporean, Malaysian.
Great movie and Reaction Sophie !!! Thank You
"The only thing crazier than love is family."
Anyone else here a Singaporean like me? 😄 🇸🇬
Rachel is happy to accompany her longtime boyfriend Nick to his best friend's wedding in Singapore. She's also surprised to learn that his family is extremely wealthy and he's considered one of the country's most eligible bachelors. Thrust into the spotlight, she must contend with jealous socialites, quirky relatives and something far worse, his disapproving mother Eleanor.
That conversation with the princess was just forced into the script because the actress who played the princess paid to act in it.
I grew up in Singapore and I remember the opulent displays of ultra-rich people there. Nothing compared to the film but pretty damn close.

Not quite true. Singapore is a trading port, so many people there make a lot of dough. I should know as a Singaporean myself. Plus, it's full of romantic hotspots like the Gardens by The Bay
She said it was a joke but I didn't get the punchline, but yes Singapore is a first world country
Singa (single) poor

Do you think you could react to Everything Everywhere All at Once?
Please? This movie is awesome.
It’s not gonna be a reaction since I’ve already seen it 🥲
@@SophieLentsNot a problem. At least not to me.
@@SophieLents just because you've already seen it doesn't mean you can't make a video on it.
You should do a reaction while eating lmao snacks during movies are the best
OH MY GOD, IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE YOU'VE POPPED UP ON MY RECOMMENDED
I like to think Jackie Chan is the unseen father. Michelle Yeoh and Jackie Chan are great together "police stories"
I really like this movie. Really enjoyed it.
Sophie you should react to The Fall Guy! It is such a good movie. It has lots of action, but also some comedy and romance! I love it and I think you'd like it too!
Also, I’m crossing my fingers hoping that this video doesn’t get blocked. 🤞
Clicked this so fast my goodness
Did you miss the post credit scene
9:47 ...well... actually, I have curly-ish hair and it usually looks better when I wake up, and if I don't comb it 🤷♀ ... except when it has some weir "cow lick" ^^'
#proudSOPHIELENTSaddict in spite of the crazy 👍🏿👍🏿
I know my suggetion has nothing to do with the theme of the movie (which I really love), but can you please consider reacting to Sing 2?
