- Today was another great day of dumpster diving in Denton! I can't believe how full that one dumpster was at an apartment complex near the college campus. And Good News! The shoes fit Alex and he is keeping two pairs of them - he has needed new tennis shoes for a while so that was an awesome find! :D As always, thank you so much for watching and I hope you have a great day! xoxo

Freeze the coffee it keeps it fresh - found this for you: Powders. Powder cosmetics, such as eyeshadows, are one of the easiest things to disinfect. First, take off the top layer of powder gently with a tissue, since that's where most of the grime will have collected. Then, give the whole thing a spray with rubbing alcohol, and set it out until it's dry.Jul 3, 2020 hope it helps
Actually it’s not good to freeze or refrigerate your coffee,it will keep better at room temperature.

I don't know. The few times I have had eye infections, I was told to toss makeup by doctor to avoid reinfection.

Yes alcohol spray! You get eye infections by using the brushes if spray the pallet their fine* Professional artist just clean the brushes and spray the pallets so same thing. Thats nice case.
We live in such as disposable society. Seeing all theses things you and others pull out of the trash hopefully helps others to stop and think before they throw things away.

to clean palettes spray some 70% isopropyl alcohol on it and let it dry. Done. You can fix broken palettes like this also. Crush the broken pieces to powder. Make a paste from the powder with some alcohol and a pop sickle stick, put it back in the palete and let dry. You can clean the edges with a coton stick and some alcohol.

Just some advice as a medical professional. Never use any makeup that's been used. It can cause major eye damage due to infections. Even if you spray it with alcohol please just throw it out.

I think the coffee should be fine for months. You can freeze the bags until you are ready to use them. It will keep it fresh.
GREAT FINDS!!! I put squishies, stuffed toys, delicate curtains, linens, etc. in an old pillowcase tied closed with a thick rubber band, and I toss it in the washer. This protects the items from getting snagged or beaten up in the wash cycles!!! LOVE to see you smiling!! 💗💗
That standing mirror is likely silver - take it to a precious metal recycle to see its worth. Or enjoy it for years to come - international mint items are def worth money.

I think it is a base metal not silver. Much too heavy. Pretty positive it was a mirror. A glass shop could cut a new mirror for it. I liked another suggestion to use chalk paint and make it a message board.

The coffee is still good. It's just the brandmaker can't garantee the flavour/smell that the coffee they make is suposed to have after this date, but if they are still air tight closed you can make coffee with it and won't get sick or anything.
I honestly think your videos put out a positive outlook on dumpster diving you do a wonderful job you put out a good videos and I enjoy watching them keep up the good work
People buy i-phone boxes on eBay especially if they are resellers.
Look under the plastic inside sometimes they leave the cords behind
🤣 the things you said look like condoms are finger cots. They're used if you cut your finger to keep the dressing clean.
Those of us who do messy crafts also use them to keep a finger clean when glueing or messing with alcohol inks or paints.
I used to work in a Pharmacy (UK) we call them that by the same name, but I always thought they were for inserting suppositories 🤣🤣
I use those rubbers to actually turn a page and count money. Since getting old, my fingertips don't have the dexterity.
I use them grooming dogs. 😊
I use them during facials when I do extractions sometimes :)

I've never told you this before but I think your dog is so cute if I find it so hard to talk about dogs I lost my pug about a year-and-a-half ago and it's been so hard to go on without him I had him cremated and I put him in my dresser drawer and I just can't seem to even setting out I love him so much as I'm sure you do yours I have a bunch of cats inside and out love all of them so much would love to go dumpster-diving at find them some things take care and take care of your family

I am moving into an apartment complex and they don’t have recycling and I am bummed over that. However I went dumpster diving for the first time in my life (55yrs) and found a great lamp. Always love seeing Pilgrim.
I love how resourceful you are .... Saving the landfill, building a full life and paying it forward with the excess. Not just a win win but a win win win. Can you imagine if we all were so resourceful and generous! I throw shoes in the wash too!

One article I read online said you can freeze that coffee and it keeps it fresher for up to 1-3 years!
That metal circular piece with the handle is just indoor decor, but I imagine it could be used for birds. Also, check TH-cam videos on cleaning makeup pallets. Many spray rubbing alcohol on them to sanitize. Glad to see you fining some good stuff.
Round thing with handle is craft organizer. Drill small holes in bottom for bird feeder or hang up where it won't get rained on.
That piece I believe should have a screw hole in the bottom and it would have attached to another tray, making it a tiered stand. The piece you have would look great in a bathroom with soaps and rolled up hand towels :)

I got a upright Dyson Hoover and a bike, wooden shelve & metal frame storage shelves from the dumpster, I asked the home owner if the Hoover still works, she said that it was not picking up, I took it home & went on TH-cam page to find out how to unblock it, it had a 50p English money stuck in it, it works like new.
My husband always picks up vac's on the side of the road and rejuvenates them. He gives them to family members who needs one.
So love your happy smile and upbeat attitude! Makes your videos so enjoyable to watch.
Make sure to drill a few holes at the bottom of your new bird feeder. That way when it rains the water can drain out :)

I have one of those handled buckets! It's on a lazy Susan on the patio table for condiments and candles.
Or you can use for fruit
Fill it with ice and beer

I would have tossed the tree and kept that expensive tub. I think the bird feeder is really a fruit bowl for the table . But you could use it as anything you want to. You can put the coffee in the freezer.
Lol those little condoms ate actually finger cots. They are use to protect you fingers or to protect. Products from finger prints, oils and skin cells. I used them when I worked for Sony making CD'S, PlayStation discs and DVD's

Don't "wash" the letterman's jacket! They're usually made out of wool and need to be dry-cleaned.😉

Your correct. It shouldn't be washed, but I worked for a dry cleaner who would wash them, hang to dry, but the sleeves would have to be painted as they will loose their color. So, better not to wash at all.

For the silver piece it’d be super cute to paint with chalk paint and write little messages on it!
Use the missing mirror stand for chalk board. The tiny rubber tips were for your fingers when flipping through paper. You clean makeup pallets with alcohol. Wipe case plus each color with alcohol. It will dry. The metal stand is not a bird feeder. No way to drain. Can be used as a fruit bowl etc. Farmhouse decor. Can hold the coffee singles.

You can use the yoga mat to make your own shoe inserts. Just use an old one as a pattern to cut new ones. You can get a lot of them out of a whole mat. The expired coffee can’t be any worse that what an old coworker used to do. We’d make coffee for the employees and the next morning if any was leftover, she’d heat it up I her mug and drink it 😝

You could squeeze Silicone bathtub sealer into the holes of those boot soles and they'd probably be good for a lot more use..
Shoe repair places can even put new heels on boots and make the scuff places and the rest of the boots look brand new!
there is also a stuff called shoe goo it works great
Shoe repair is inexpensive and it's becoming a lost art.
Your bird feeder is a part of a tiered tray used for home decor. You can definitely repurpose it as a bird feeder!

All those books in the dumpster were probably from someone who was hired to deliver them and rather than deliver them to multiple locations, decided to dump them then went back to work and said they "distributed" all of them but they didn't say they "distributed" them at the bottom of a couple of dumpsters. Not only did they not get recycled, they didn't get where they were supposed to go and the business who paid to have them printed might as well have thrown their money in that dumpster. Same thing.... what a shame.. smh...

The "mirror" looks like it's pewter chalkboard.
For sanitizing eyeshadows, you'll need isopropyl alcohol and tissues. Sanitize eyeshadow by scraping off its very top layer with a tissue. You can do this by quickly rubbing the surface until it brushes off. After you've skimmed the top off, spritz the product with a little bit of rubbing alcohol and then let it dry. This method can be used for all powder makeup items.
go back and check that big dumpster, those baskets can go out front of the little pantry so people can carry stuff home, or donated to the thrift store or even sold at a garage sale for $1 each. theycome in so darn handy. The calculator might need to take a screwdriver scrap off the battery acid that leached then it probably will work i did that last week with a light up stand i found in the dumpster and some work and clean up and new batteries from the dumpster works great 👍 you found great useful things !

The thrift store in our town uses a spray bottle with the 91% alcohol to sanitize clothes and all other fabric donations.
The light pink flowers are wisteria. The roll of wire is narrow chicken wire. The mirror frame looks like pewter. "Best if used by" dates are not expiration dates. Most food stuffs will keep for months, even years beyond those dates. Chef Alton Brown says to ignore the "BIUB" dates, because they are just markers for manufacturers to allow them to make and sell as much of their products as quickly as they can and make as much money as possible. Packaged coffee like you found will usually keep for several years after you buy it from the store. Pretty nice haul.

I believe the decorative silver piece IS a picture frame. I have a similar one I have my parents wedding picture in it!
Best thing to use on the sole of sneakers to clean them is Mr. clean eraser!! Glad to see you’re posting again. You can clean the make up palette’s with rubbing alcohol. It works perfectly to help sanitize everything. I put the broken pillars in my yard and use them as ruins.

Awesome finds Kelly.You can use alcohol either spray it over the palettes or use can put alcohol on a rag and wipe over the palettes..if you find some that the eye shadow is all broken just mix a couple drops of alcohol in it and just pat it to reshape it same with blush..Enjoyed tagging along with you..Take care and hope Alex liked the shoes those were really nice..

Just an FYI but alot of people like myself buy old colored powdered makeup to use in coloring resin when doing jewelry making. Its alot cheaper then actually buying colored pigments for resin and works as well so I would pick it up next time to sell at yard sale.

Girl! Keep the makeup, spray down with 70% or higher rubbing alcohol, wipe plastic areas with sanitizing wipe allow to air dry! VERY SIMPLE! I get makeup from the kids at the college I work at and this has worked for me every time!

That is a vanity mirror and it's worth about $75-100 if polished and had the mirror. It's silver plated. I have one that was my mother's.

Disinfect the shadows by removing the top layer(just gently scrape with fingernail) spritz with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry. Coffee kept in the freezer will last way way past its sell by date!! Great finds girly, good job saving things from the landfill!
That tin with the handle is for fruit or vegetables on your table. Like a center piece.

Buy a big vanity mirror (a plastic one) dismantle it, you can use a diamond cutter to cut it to shape, and replace the one you found.
