I love how Nancy turns from the girl next door character into a straight badass in 8 episodes. What a character development.

4:16 I have a funny story about this moment.
I was staying in a dorm watching this early in the morning because I didn't have class. My suitemate said goodbye to me before she left and heard the music, and was like "oh, you're watching stranger things? Where are you?" and I answered "Jonathan and nancy are staying at Murray's" and she was like "oh hurry up this is where it gets good" and left. I kept watching, and when this moment rolled around I actually screamed "YES!" and started laughing, and I heard her laughing on the other side of the door. She later told me that she missed the first ten minutes of her class but it was totally worth it.

@@wilsonguedes1346 Well...neither, really. Or both. I believe that she leads with logic for most of her decisions, but sometimes those decisions lead to trouble. Then, when logic doesn't work, she acts impulsively, and that usually clears things up. I mean, the infiltration into the asylum is a perfect example of this. She led with logic, but once she saw that Robin's strategy was working better, she let Robin lead. And then, once they were caught, they just ran for it instead of trying to talk their way out of it. Same in season 3, when she and Jonathan were being chased through the hospital. Even in season 1, when she pulled a gun on Steve. I don't think that was a bad decision--I think, in the moment, she was doing what she could to make him leave, because he wasn't really budging otherwise. I won't say that she's a perfect balance between impulse and logic, but she definitely utilizes both to her advantage. And to be honest, that's one of the things I love about her. She's not just one character trope. She's a well-rounded person.

I love so many aspects of Nancy's personality. How she's such a badass, she's so ambitious and kind too. But i cannot forget how she cheated on Steve in season 2. I stan Nancy and Jonathan too, but that's besides the point. She hadn't broken up with Steve, they just had a fight and then she went and slept with Jonathan while still being in a relationship with Steve at the time. I just love how accepting Steve was to her rejection, even tho she never really properly communicated it to him, he just realised that she didn't love him and had probably been pining after Jonathan all this time, he never guilt tripped her or anything and just let her go.
