Oof i know im late but. Chan always does this vlive every week where basically he stays up late with stays. He stays up with stays who have trouble sleeping because he also suffers from insomnia. Last week i think was ep. 6 where he listened to seveenteen's home and a lot more. Hahah hope this explains a little 😅😅

Hello ARMY fellas, i know you guys here for our Yoongi, but the group (Stray kids) has good thing to offer, they're really good. I'm just casual listener but they have my support. Stay is pretty much good fandom, i know there's bad apple in the fandom but i don't really meet it so far.

I know this isn't the newest video or that the comments are very recent, but I literally can not stop myself for putting this out there because there are some people who refuse to be civil and keep comparing bts with skz (not even just here, I mean in general).
*A lot of people are talking about 'the blonde guy' so before you comment anything, please educate yourselves first:*
That is Bang Chan (or Chan), leader of Stray Kids - he recently turned 22 years old (so yes, he's the same age as kookie) and he's the oldest in the group.
He was born in Korea but moved to Sydney, Australia when he was very young and he grew up here. He got into JYP when he was *12* and moved to Korea *by himself* where he trained with and became close to a lot of people y'all will be familiar with, including Hyunwoo (MONSTA X), DAY6, GOT7 and TWICE.
He trained for 7 years watching his friends debut while he couldn't because of several reasons, the main because he was just too young (before you say that Jungkook debuted when he was 15, that is *not* an average age to debut, he was still way too young but the company had to rush their debut for obvious reasons).
He struggled with depression, insomnia (still does) and wanted to give up so many times in his life. *But he didn't*. With two other members (Jisung and Changbin) he formed 3RACHA, a pre-debut self-producing rap group and that formed the basis of Stray Kids because he went on to personally pick trainees to be in his team (formally called JYP Male Project Team) and he naturally became the leader.
JYP staff didn't interfere with them because they were doing extremely well on their own so when the time came they decided to debut the group through a survival show (also called Stray Kids). Two members were eliminated but brought back by JYP himself because he could tell that their synergy together as a 9 maked up for the lack in certain areas due to less training time.
The name, by the way, was by Chan and the other members and is a way to express their 'determination to break the existing mold and go one step forward to be unique and out of the ordinary). Stray Kids do not have a single love song, and instead use their platform to increase awareness about mental health issues, identity crisis and positivity - they literally have songs titled 'insomnia' and 'voices' (referring to negative thoughts in your head).
This clip is part of a 'Chan's room' episode that he runs by himself, weekly on VLIVE - and although he is not obligated to do so whatever, he never fails to come to us every week (even at 3 am sometimes), even after filming for hours, coming back from performances, concerts, whatever - we're on episode 40 rn and there'll definitely be another one this weekend too.
In these hour-long broadcasts, yes he plays music but it's for anyone who's having trouble sleeping, having a bad day, feeling alone or emotionally conflicted - he reads as many comments as he can and replies to them and answers any questions, concerns and offers advice on what to do when you're struggling or when you want to give up on everything. This isn't about what groups I stan (because hell, I love BTS, Stray Kids, GOT7, MONSTA X, TWICE, NCT, MAMAMOO, Red Velvet- the list goes on. This is about people who don't know anything about Chris but are wrongfully hating on him for the most unacceptable reasons. Hell, Chan isn't even my bias, but I don't give a sh*t, you can ask anyone, every. single. stay. will answer the same. Every single stay will tell you how amazing this person is. Every single stay will tell you about exactly what this man has done. You know what his birthday hashtag was? (we got that to #1 trending on twitter worldwide, first member to do so for their birthday, btw) it was #OurHeroChan. Because that is literally what he is to me and to so, so many people out there.
Bang Christopher Chan is the most respectful, aware, humble, talented, comforting, protective, loving and caring person in the world - so whenever people hate about him for the *stupidest* reasons, yes I get f**king pissed off.
So please, before writing, even thinking about any sh*t you have to say against Chan, or anyone else in Stray Kids, please at least attempt to learn something about them before doing so.

Perfectly said.. For me, BTS actually introduced me to KPop and through them (SKZ's Dionysus cover) I discovered this amazing group.. Before even watching YT vids I watched the survival show which was the best move because I actually got to know them before their success.. I still can't re-watch the elimination episodes.. I barely knew them yet I was crying like a baby as if I had known them for years.. That's how genuine and lovable they are through their own merits.. Most group leaders are amazing in their own right, but there is something special about Channie.. He is talented, smart, caring.. he is truly the big brother we all want.. He deserves all this success and more xo

it's been a while since i listened to song request so i looked up the lyrics again, and now it makes sense why chan seemed so immersed in it. i'm not a stay but i've watched a decent amount of stray kids content, and it's so clear to me that this is the kind of lyrics that bangchan probably relates to a lot and might find comfort in.
