- Claymills pumping station 30th Anniversary steaming with 33 engines in steam and all 4 Woof Compound Beam pumping engines running together for possibly the first time in the life of the station.
Starting at the dynamo house :
1. Buxton & Thornley with Mayer valve gear driving 1889 crompton open frame dynamo 200 volts 50 amps.
2. Claymills home made vertical twin of 1906 driving 200 volt 30 amps closed frame dynamo.
In the workshop
3. Vernon & guest vertical driving the line shafting. Date unknown
4. Massey steam hammer
On the yard
5. Waddington reversing winch , for dredging the sewers.
6. Ruston proctor portable of 1911 vintage originally worked with the winch.
7. Portable Buxton & Thornley pump. Moved around site to pump water / leakage.
In the agitator house
8. Main agitator engine maker unknown
9. Sewage slacking pump by frank pearns

Brilliant, these beautiful engines are so so much nicer to see in their natural environment in a fantastic historic location than in the middle of a field !
Really want to make the journey down next year and see this it looks fantastic 👍🏻
Nice video! Disappointed though there was no footage of the boiler operations included.
Hi thanks for the feedback, unfortunately I didn't have time to spend long in the boilerhouse I do have some footage on my other claymill videos though of the boiler house, It was a very busy day and certainly a fantastic sight seeing all 4 woolf beam engines run together for the first time.
It is truly a marvel that such an extensive steam-powered facility is fully operational, even a steamed-powered forge and workshop!
@@bw4t aye there was 33 engines running on site with all the 33 originally working at the pumping station site when It was operational. With a further couple away in other museums that once worked at the site
