I think what this vid forgets is how insanely popular Suzy was whereas the other members weren’t so popular compared to her and that caused a lot of tension in the group (at least from what I’ve heard) and that’s one of the reasons why they all left JYP
yeah i was surprised he didn’t mention it,it’s the first thing that came to mind. it wasn’t even close,suzy was WAYYYY more popular than any of the other girls and she overshadowed them sadly :(
JYP pushed Suzy more than any other girls in miss A and that was so sad (coming from a Min stan). I think this is one of the major reasons why miss A disbanded and/or artistically "separated ways" (and the girls no longer talking to each other). Can't believe this was never mentioned.
At least now JYP took that into account and now he's letting all members have the spotlight in Twice and Itzy, where most of the members shine equally.

It’s weird how Miss A was insanely popular back then, but is now forgotten today. When people name iconic girl groups, you always hear Twice, SNSD, 2NE1, Blackpink, etc. but never Miss A. :(
@minaka he had western dreams and thought wonder girls could headline in america. he said he feels guilty about that and keep them on a lot longer because but once twice was solid he let them go.
Suzy probably didn't want the group to fall apart which makes sense, it wasn't her fault that she was the only member that exploded and the only member JYP pushed, it makes sense that it created tension, I'm pretty sure Suzy was sharing her earnings with the members?
@@DaniDani-hi7es she did have an injured ankle during "Only You" promotions so maybe they cut it short so she won't be on that leg any more. And ironically, her choosing to promote with the group even with an injury shows her dedication to Miss A. And it could of been a combination of two reasons the comeback was shortened, they could of shortened the promotions because of her leg and drama, or they could of shortened the promotions for just her injury alone and she happened to get a drama role. But either way I don't think it's fair to say she didn't care about Miss A. When she gave up so much offers to begin with.
I still can’t believe they only had 8 comebacks. Also you completely failed to mention how Suzy was pushed so much by JYP, and it created a lot of the underrated factor, as Jia, Min, and Fei were left behind. People knew Suzy, but barely knew Miss A, making them such a weird underrated-but-not group, similar to 4Minute.
jia and min are not (that) beautiful, fei is beautiful but she didnt stand out, because suzy been so such a full package, she sings fine, if I cant say that she sings very good, she is tall, she is the korean, she acts good, she is pretty, I do look sound like a fans, but I am not, it's the things that everybody else said
you know actually jyp was kinda pushed the girls equally like min for varieties (she was really popular back then a 'kkap min'), jia and fei for like dancing shows, and suzy for acting. but since suzy's movie debut she gains herself a 'Nation's First Love' title and then *boom* knetz starting to 'downgrade(?)' other members as 'Suzy and the girls' and that's really sad and upsetting for us, say A. even jyp keep trying to give other members solo job like solo debut, acting, modelling, or appear on any shows, people wasn't pay attention and keep blaming jyp....
When Miss A turn into Suzy and backup dancer is the downfall of the group. Good thing that JYP learn from the experience and treat all member of Twice equally.
I commend the effort, but they are almost too equal. After Twice inevitably disbands, the popular members will debut solo. But the members are pretty close in popularity, so I don’t see successful solo careers being launched from the ashes of Twice. Maybe the treatment will change as they age, but at this point idk.
I'm also thinking what future career paths Twice will have in the future. But for now, these are my best guess. Will revisit this in the future to know how they turned out Nayeon - definitely will be a solo artist continuing as a singer Jeongyeon - print model or maybe even acting (I'd love to see her portray the evil character) Momo - youtuber. She has shown she has some interest in doing vlogs and editing them. I'll definitely subscribe. Sana - variety show or maybe even a radio dj/podcaster. She has so much personality and soothing voice and I think this would really fit her. She could also be a succesful CF model with her image Jihyo - honestly I hope she could debut as a trot singer. I also think she'll be still with JYP and work as an executive Mina - I think she might be a good streamer or maybe come back to school to study again. She's introvert but really talkative when playing games Dahyun - variety show because she's a meme queen Chaeyoung - artist continuing her drawing intetest. Might try to be a producer Tzuyu - CF and print model definitely. I see her starting a non profit charity

Forgot to talk about the “Dream High” era where Susy got an incredibly amount of popularity worldwide. The Dream high fever was huge at the time, the other members couldn’t keep up :c
Most of the middle child girl groups in every company are underrated. (JYP)Miss A, (CUBE)CLC, (SM)Fx. The companies didn't really put so much efforts for them to success(except Cube, I can see Cube is trying to get CLC to success)
Miss A was the PERFECT representation of what a K-pop group should be like. Unique music, unique styling, unique yet catchy choreography and astounding stage presence. Once you listened to Miss A you were instantly hooked and continued to be hooked with every comeback showing a new side to them or enforcing their specialty side. These are the factors that made second gen K-pop famous Internationally and what continues to make third gen K-pop successful although "unique" is now being replaced with "trend". Miss A was a perfect K-pop girl group and it saddens me that they fell victim to the 7 year curse. They'll forever serve as an example of how to do K-pop RIGHT
They would be perfect if it wasn't for one big factor, they just became Suzy and others. In my opinion that's the worst thing a group can do. I don't blame Suzy though, it's not like she can control it
I'm a Fei Fan and even I know JYP PROMOTED ALL GIRLS EQUALLY IN DEBUT. EVEN AFTER. its just that Suzy really blew up in Korea because she can freakin so damn well act like nobody's business. To be fair, Fei was also popular , not just as popular as Suzy, since many likes to watch her cook and since she starred in Masterchef but it kinda faded away so if TH-camr or Vlogger was as popular before , she could have started a youtube channel before which would have also made her gain more popularity

The 1st type were as you said the people who hated Suzy and thought she ruined the group when it wasn't her fault that the public liked her so much. It's the Koreans that made Suzy overshadow other members. It's no one else's fault. Although other members were very talented Suzy had breathtaking visuals, she was even crowned with the title: Nation's first love. It's always like this in groups. Even if a visual member does nothing they will still have the most attention from the Korean audience.

Suzy didn't "do nothing". She always tries her best, non-stop. She overcame hurdle by hurdle with a grateful attitude and a genuine personality, that's why the public ADORE her. They did in the past and they still very much do so until now. She didn't earn the title "Nation's first love" just because of her visual. She earned it for her acting in the movie "Architecture 101". Get your info right.
But not their Songs , Most of their Songs are still present to every Award show cover performance , Showcase Stage and Survival Shows their songs are still cover and perform by new K-pop groups / Idols

I agree that suzys popularity really eclipsed the rest of the group. Like it’s not really anyone’s fault. Management can only do so much if the girls don’t want do it anymore. We don’t know what happened behind the scenes. But it’s obvious Suzys popularity had an affect of the group.
that's how it always is. people say "(insert members name) and friends" and blame the company but the member they were pointing out didn't always have the most lines or the most screentime, but when they performed live they would get the biggest reaction from the audience. This happened with Miss A, the audience would be the loudest for Suzy and have almost no cheering for the other girls
It was because suzy is so popular and she's overshadowing other members, people also complaining and called them "suzy and friends" back then. Jyp himself ever said that having one member who shines too much in a group is a big mistake, glad that he changed the strategy to his recent groups like twice and itzy so he won't repeat the same mistake and destroyed another group.
But i am worried that if twice mems. wont have solo activities , what they gonna do after leaving / disbandment few yrs later ? .......all of them should start doing acting , solo music , variety shows etc

Before you say Suzy’s Popularity killed the group, just remember that Suzy rejected many dramas and movies just for Miss A Comebacks to give the members a chance to shine but people’s attention are only focused on suzy so don’t blame her because of her popularity people only pay attention to Suzy before, now she is happy alone in acting than being rather in Miss A
I don’t get how most ppl in the comments section seems to think that jype focused only on Suzy. If u were a fan of miss A from their debut, u would know that the member they mostly promoted was Min, she was on almost all of the shows. If u’re a fan of Kpop, u would know how important it’s to be kn shows when u’re a rookie. The only opportunity Jype gave Suzy was the opportunity to act in dream high, only after sohee from wonder girls refused the offer. Suzy even said during an interview that she didn’t want to act in a drama because she wasn’t ready but she eventually accepted the offer. Her popularity skyrocketed after her movie Architecture 101, which jype had nothing to do with it. The role was initially written or offered to seohyun if snsd but SM rejected it which seohyun stated on radio star. What I want to point out was that, all the acting opportunities Suzy got had nothing to d with jype, she got it because the directors liked her. JYPE eventually used her popularity as an actor to cast jype rookie actors in Suzy’s dramas. And tbh Suzy was making more through acting than what miss A as a group earning. Her income was also shared with the members of miss A although Suzy got a bigger portion. Miss A disbanding is one of the reasons because of Suzy’s massive popularity but ppl shouldn’t blame Suzy. Suzy even went through depression at the peak of her career/popularity and u have to know she was almost a decade younger than fei, the age gap between them was a lot and Suzy went through all this when she was only 15
This is so true. It’s so upsetting to see people blaming it all on Suzy. Suzy has worked hard for all those years. I’ve been a fan of her since Dream High up to present. Suzy’s popularity sure is the reason for the members to feel left behind but they were all given a chance before but Suzy just got noticed snd became popular.
What you forgot to point out that Min is quite popular because of her image on variety shows. Jyp did promote them but after Suzy's popularity began, they focused so much on Suzy and neglected the group's comeback and everything.

suzy was immensly popular after starring as the protagonist in DREAM HIGH, the korean drama that blew up worlwide, also in ITALY where it was dubbed. probably one of the first ones to do so. suzy deserved all the success, her talent and charisma are immense, but she shouldn’t be blamed for being so loved..
The narrative that Suzy was the only one pushed by JYP is a lie. Suzy was the only member that they wanted to see. She became famous on her own. Min had a lot of opportunities but at the end of it, Suzy was the one the public wanted to see.
I agree, too can just watch the music videos and see everyone had equal amounts of exposure (they weren’t Chocolate where all we saw was Tia) It was the fans that wanted to see Suzy more.
What's so sad about this is that, Miss A disbanded while still at the height of their popularity. Even to this day, they still have thousands of followers as a group. To get to the level when they disbanded, many groups of today will call it such a great achievement. And for many, impossible to achieve.

Jia was my favorite idol BY FAR. I remember I saw her even before Miss A, in a dance group they had - and her moves were simply hypnotic. I was happy when she entered in Miss A, I LOVED the independent girls songs, but then...she disappeared. It's sad how short those idol's careers are.
Their songs really insanely unique and nice back when those days... I really like them but too bad they reach the end. Glad that Suzy still doing really fine... not sure about others tho...
Suzy's popularity was for her visuals and that's why her popularity was more than any member of miss a. But that doesn't mean that it's all Suzy's fault for the group disband. The members might have their personal problems and the same with Suzy! Even though JYP promoted her because of the downfall of miss a and she gained a lot popularity herself is not her fault. But they are under a different label and are a boygroup. Boygroup are better treated, and they're more popular. Look here in the West, boybands have swarms of fangirls, girlbands often struggle to obtain the same fanbase. Same goes over there, only worse.
Exo also never had one member that outshined the rest and was more popular than the others. Although some members are more popular than others, they all have their own loyal fans.
I’ve been a fan of Miss A from the very beginning and was dissatisfied when they eventually disbanded. The woman’s empowerment message was strong and there’s no way you can forget about this group. Thanks for putting this together!

I think one thing people need to consider as well is that in 2013/2014 JYPE was near bankruptcy. They were not in Big 3 level anymore and were on a downward trend with the public. That’s one reason they had 2PM focus in Japan and the incredibly popular Suzy doing a-lot of commercial gigs. Even Miss A’s sub-label AQ Entertainment had to be merged with the main company during that time because lack of funds. JYP said himself that at this time Suzy was bringing in 10 Million won and 2PM double that. Junho even made the point that they were working hard in Japan for the sake of the company. All unfair treatment allegations aside, if the company didn’t make those choices with Suzy too, JYPE as we know it would probably not be here today.

I don't think Miss A is forgotten. They were an amazing group with awesome talents and they're still remembered to this day. Their MVs are absolute fire!
miss A is the only K-pop group that I actually listened to all of their songs. This girl group is really special to me. It hurts though that they had to disband but hey, change is constant.
Miss A was the group that introduced me and got me into Kpop... I do feel Suzy's popularity got bigger then the group, it didn't help the group that she was JYP's sweetheart. Focus Should have been on the group and not an individual member. I did hear about the tension/frustration among members and for it to be a reason why Jia left and subsequently the other members.. JYP Should have managed the group better. They Will always be special to me...
i came to know this band because of a Netflix drama: "Doona!". Bae Susy did really good in that one and i began looking out more about her. The surprise was to realise that doona was a very relatable theme for her. She was indeed a music idol. Latter i found out about "dream high", she was also in the cast playing the pop idol theme. A professor from that one is present too in this video (8:25). There is something special about Susy, don't really know how to describe it but i guess it's what we call "to have angel" or charisma. Like Choi ji woo or Kim Yoo-jin(Eugene) did.
for any old fans!! jia & fei are on this chinese reality tv show called 'Sisters who make waves'. It's basically some kind of girl group competition (members compete to be part of the 'final' group), except everyone who's in this show are all 30+ (the oldest is past 50!) and are from all sorts of fields in the industry (eg. acting/ hosting etc.) I didn't know who miss A was before I watched that show and ended up becoming fans of fei & jia!! It's very touching to see how fei & jia remained super close after all these years.

I think it's because suzy's solo schedule resulted in their long hiatus between comebacks that hit and affected their popularity so much when they were a promising girl group, and bcs of that the girls resentment grew

JYP groups had the best title tracks out there. Like every comeback their title tracks were amazing. That goes for all JYPE artists. They may not be greatest in vocals but their songs were so good.
Miss A songs was a huge part of my teenage life... I still remember downloading their music on my MP3 and listening to it all day trying to learn their choreography. I'll never forget the girls

Miss A has the most interesting discography in all Kpop GGs. I remember watching one of their interviews before. The MC compared them to a basil garnished on a plate of pasta. They may not be the main ingredient, but the overall flavor wouldn't be complete without them.
miss A was the group that got me into k-pop (along with 2NE1) and I remember all their comebacks from Goodbye Baby on... I miss them a lot and listening to their music is so nostalgic for me.
Is you think about is, Blackpink is like Miss A , talented but with A lot of breaks inbetween comebacks and the company focusing in one member ( Suzy and Jennie)
Well that’s the case with a lot of groups from back then, with companies only promoting one member. You can look at another YG group for a more accurate comparison to miss A, 2ne1 CL, who was Yg princess and got all the focus till Minzy left and they disbanded. One good thing that came from this is JYP has learned what not to do when Twice came along
True that. I'm Blackpink fans and I can see Jennie got the spotlight more. Not just because the company gave her that but her beauty is mesmerizing. She looks good in everything, even in plain tshirt. So her beauty shines more than other members. Jisoo is pretty too but it doesn't have Jennie beauty effect I guess.
I think that it's a little different with Miss A since JYP tried to change the spotlight on every comeback but the public started to love Suzy too much so they became literally < The group of Suzy >, the part of the public is large too I think. With Jennie I just feel it's the company and the public but maybe more the company But I got your point 😊👍
Wow, I'm surprised everyone in the comments came to the same conclusion I did. I never read any k-pop news, but it very clearly seemed that missA immediately tanked after it became the Suzy show and that there had to be some tension between the other girls and her(I remember Jia sharing pics of only Fei an Min on IG). Same with 4minute and Hyuna. A real shame for me because those were my 2 favorite bands. I had originally gotten into K-Pop back when BoA and Lee Hyori were at the height of their popularity, but I didn't get back into it until I happened upon "Bad Girl, Good Girl" when it first got released. I remember constantly looking up release dates for their music, which I never do for anyone, even outside of K-Pop(relevant because it's not the main genre I listen to).
To me Miss A will always be the best. They were very different. Although Gurls Generation were so popular for a long time, they were never my favorites. It took me a long time to even listen to their music because they were too cutesie for me. But Miss A were a mix of tough, strong women, and I my opinion, of all the girls group, they were the best at being synchronized during choreographies.

As much as I love MissA, there are far more vocally talented group than them. First is Girls Generation (TTS or their vocal line up with Jessica And Sunny) - hiatus, The Grace (disbanded girl group of SM), Spica (underrated group who disbanded), Brown Eyed Girls, and for current GG we have Mamamoo and Red Velvet.
As a Miss A fan I don't feel like this actually talks about what happened to them as it only counts their comebacks and some achievements, saying they were stuck in the middle and we're forgotten is not enough, I was looking forward to this but I feel there's too much that was left out. No more words about Jia's departure, Suzy and Fei's solos, or even Suzy's overshadowing popularity and alleged tension between members

Wowow, I am a fan of Miss A, despite her dissolution I follow the girls individually, it was very painful to see the treatment that jyp gave to Miss A, I agree with what you say was a group with a strong concept and female empowerment, time swallows, the old kpopers know the importance of them in kpop. Miss A was the first girl group I got into when i started listening to KPOP a little before the came back with Good Bye Baby and followed them until they disbanded. Unfortunately I feel like they were lost in the shuffle between Wonder Girls and Twice. I feel as if they were and still are huge influences on today’s groups.
I use to listen to them in high school. They where definitely one of the first groups I really stanned! I use to dance to their dances in the school hallways with my 2 friends lol

I think what this vid forgets is how insanely popular Suzy was whereas the other members weren’t so popular compared to her and that caused a lot of tension in the group (at least from what I’ve heard) and that’s one of the reasons why they all left JYP
yeah i was surprised he didn’t mention it,it’s the first thing that came to mind. it wasn’t even close,suzy was WAYYYY more popular than any of the other girls and she overshadowed them sadly :(
JYP pushed Suzy more than any other girls in miss A and that was so sad (coming from a Min stan). I think this is one of the major reasons why miss A disbanded and/or artistically "separated ways" (and the girls no longer talking to each other). Can't believe this was never mentioned.
It also probably didn't help that Suzy and lee minho started dating and it became SKs IT couple.
I think it's the same for 4minute if I'm not mistaken.
At least now JYP took that into account and now he's letting all members have the spotlight in Twice and Itzy, where most of the members shine equally.

And ironically, her choosing to promote with the group even with an injury shows her dedication to Miss A. And it could of been a combination of two reasons the comeback was shortened, they could of shortened the promotions because of her leg and drama, or they could of shortened the promotions for just her injury alone and she happened to get a drama role. But either way I don't think it's fair to say she didn't care about Miss A. When she gave up so much offers to begin with.

When Miss A turn into Suzy and backup dancer is the downfall of the group. Good thing that JYP learn from the experience and treat all member of Twice equally.
I commend the effort, but they are almost too equal. After Twice inevitably disbands, the popular members will debut solo. But the members are pretty close in popularity, so I don’t see successful solo careers being launched from the ashes of Twice. Maybe the treatment will change as they age, but at this point idk.

Miss A was the PERFECT representation of what a K-pop group should be like. Unique music, unique styling, unique yet catchy choreography and astounding stage presence. Once you listened to Miss A you were instantly hooked and continued to be hooked with every comeback showing a new side to them or enforcing their specialty side. These are the factors that made second gen K-pop famous Internationally and what continues to make third gen K-pop successful although "unique" is now being replaced with "trend". Miss A was a perfect K-pop girl group and it saddens me that they fell victim to the 7 year curse. They'll forever serve as an example of how to do K-pop RIGHT

It's always like this in groups. Even if a visual member does nothing they will still have the most attention from the Korean audience.
Suzy didn't "do nothing". She always tries her best, non-stop. She overcame hurdle by hurdle with a grateful attitude and a genuine personality, that's why the public ADORE her. They did in the past and they still very much do so until now.

This happened with Miss A, the audience would be the loudest for Suzy and have almost no cheering for the other girls

Jyp himself ever said that having one member who shines too much in a group is a big mistake, glad that he changed the strategy to his recent groups like twice and itzy so he won't repeat the same mistake and destroyed another group.

I don’t get how most ppl in the comments section seems to think that jype focused only on Suzy. If u were a fan of miss A from their debut, u would know that the member they mostly promoted was Min, she was on almost all of the shows. If u’re a fan of Kpop, u would know how important it’s to be kn shows when u’re a rookie. The only opportunity Jype gave Suzy was the opportunity to act in dream high, only after sohee from wonder girls refused the offer. Suzy even said during an interview that she didn’t want to act in a drama because she wasn’t ready but she eventually accepted the offer. Her popularity skyrocketed after her movie Architecture 101, which jype had nothing to do with it. The role was initially written or offered to seohyun if snsd but SM rejected it which seohyun stated on radio star. What I want to point out was that, all the acting opportunities Suzy got had nothing to d with jype, she got it because the directors liked her. JYPE eventually used her popularity as an actor to cast jype rookie actors in Suzy’s dramas. And tbh Suzy was making more through acting than what miss A as a group earning. Her income was also shared with the members of miss A although Suzy got a bigger portion. Miss A disbanding is one of the reasons because of Suzy’s massive popularity but ppl shouldn’t blame Suzy. Suzy even went through depression at the peak of her career/popularity and u have to know she was almost a decade younger than fei, the age gap between them was a lot and Suzy went through all this when she was only 15

The narrative that Suzy was the only one pushed by JYP is a lie. Suzy was the only member that they wanted to see. She became famous on her own. Min had a lot of opportunities but at the end of it, Suzy was the one the public wanted to see.

What's so sad about this is that, Miss A disbanded while still at the height of their popularity. Even to this day, they still have thousands of followers as a group. To get to the level when they disbanded, many groups of today will call it such a great achievement. And for many, impossible to achieve.

Jia was my favorite idol BY FAR. I remember I saw her even before Miss A, in a dance group they had - and her moves were simply hypnotic. I was happy when she entered in Miss A, I LOVED the independent girls songs, but then...she disappeared. It's sad how short those idol's careers are.
Their songs really insanely unique and nice back when those days... I really like them but too bad they reach the end. Glad that Suzy still doing really fine... not sure about others tho...

I think one thing people need to consider as well is that in 2013/2014 JYPE was near bankruptcy. They were not in Big 3 level anymore and were on a downward trend with the public. That’s one reason they had 2PM focus in Japan and the incredibly popular Suzy doing a-lot of commercial gigs. JYP said himself that at this time Suzy was bringing in 10 Million won and 2PM double that. Junho even made the point that they were working hard in Japan for the sake of the company. All unfair treatment allegations aside, if the company didn’t make those choices with Suzy too, JYPE as we know it would probably not be here today.

Miss A was the group that introduced me and got me into Kpop... I do feel Suzy's popularity got bigger then the group, it didn't help the group that she was JYP's sweetheart. Focus Should have been on the group and not an individual member. I did hear about the tension/frustration among members and for it to be a reason why Jia left and subsequently the other members.. JYP Should have managed the group better.

i came to know this band because of a Netflix drama: "Doona!". Bae Susy did really good in that one and i began looking out more about her. The surprise was to realise that doona was a very relatable theme for her. She was indeed a music idol.
Latter i found out about "dream high", she was also in the cast playing the pop idol theme. A professor from that one is present too in this video (8:25).
There is something special about Susy, don't really know how to describe it but i guess it's what we call "to have angel" or charisma. Like Choi ji woo or Kim Yoo-jin(Eugene) did.

for any old fans!! jia & fei are on this chinese reality tv show called 'Sisters who make waves'. It's basically some kind of girl group competition (members compete to be part of the 'final' group), except everyone who's in this show are all 30+ (the oldest is past 50!) and are from all sorts of fields in the industry (eg. acting/ hosting etc.)
I didn't know who miss A was before I watched that show and ended up becoming fans of fei & jia!! It's very touching to see how fei & jia remained super close after all these years.

@@nikita22 Of course they were. Once Suzy got popular, JYP forgot about the other members. He only pushed Suzy, and the other members were left in the dust. Miss A is known as "Suzy and friends". It wasn't Suzy's fault, but you can't blame Jia, Fei and Min for wanting to be equal.

I think it's because suzy's solo schedule resulted in their long hiatus between comebacks that hit and affected their popularity so much when they were a promising girl group, and bcs of that the girls resentment grew

They absolutely did reach great heights. They were HUGE. And they’re still doing great for themselves even if they’re not in the original group now.
JYP groups had the best title tracks out there. Like every comeback their title tracks were amazing. That goes for all JYPE artists. They may not be greatest in vocals but their songs were so good.

Miss A has the most interesting discography in all Kpop GGs. I remember watching one of their interviews before. The MC compared them to a basil garnished on a plate of pasta. They may not be the main ingredient, but the overall flavor wouldn't be complete without them.

Well that’s the case with a lot of groups from back then, with companies only promoting one member. You can look at another YG group for a more accurate comparison to miss A, 2ne1 CL, who was Yg princess and got all the focus till Minzy left and they disbanded. One good thing that came from this is JYP has learned what not to do when Twice came along

She looks good in everything, even in plain tshirt. So her beauty shines more than other members. Jisoo is pretty too but it doesn't have Jennie beauty effect I guess.

I think that it's a little different with Miss A since JYP tried to change the spotlight on every comeback but the public started to love Suzy too much so they became literally < The group of Suzy >, the part of the public is large too I think.

Wow, I'm surprised everyone in the comments came to the same conclusion I did. I never read any k-pop news, but it very clearly seemed that missA immediately tanked after it became the Suzy show and that there had to be some tension between the other girls and her(I remember Jia sharing pics of only Fei an Min on IG). Same with 4minute and Hyuna. A real shame for me because those were my 2 favorite bands.
I had originally gotten into K-Pop back when BoA and Lee Hyori were at the height of their popularity, but I didn't get back into it until I happened upon "Bad Girl, Good Girl" when it first got released. I remember constantly looking up release dates for their music, which I never do for anyone, even outside of K-Pop(relevant because it's not the main genre I listen to).
To me Miss A will always be the best. They were very different. Although Gurls Generation were so popular for a long time, they were never my favorites. It took me a long time to even listen to their music because they were too cutesie for me. But Miss A were a mix of tough, strong women, and I my opinion, of all the girls group, they were the best at being synchronized during choreographies.

honestly miss a couldn't been explained better. they are the first kpop group i ever stanned and man, i was soooo sad when they disbanded. they were so powerful in each way, visually, vocally and with their dance skills and independent image... but what breaks my heart the most is that their friendship is over (i guess) except for jia and fei.
colors is an amazing album but there was clearly a tension between girls in the colors era :( i miss hush era so much

As much as I love MissA, there are far more vocally talented group than them. First is Girls Generation (TTS or their vocal line up with Jessica And Sunny) - hiatus, The Grace (disbanded girl group of SM), Spica (underrated group who disbanded), Brown Eyed Girls, and for current GG we have Mamamoo and Red Velvet.
As a Miss A fan I don't feel like this actually talks about what happened to them as it only counts their comebacks and some achievements, saying they were stuck in the middle and we're forgotten is not enough, I was looking forward to this but I feel there's too much that was left out. No more words about Jia's departure, Suzy and Fei's solos, or even Suzy's overshadowing popularity and alleged tension between members

Miss A was the first girl group I got into when i started listening to KPOP a little before the came back with Good Bye Baby and followed them until they disbanded. Unfortunately I feel like they were lost in the shuffle between Wonder Girls and Twice. I feel as if they were and still are huge influences on today’s groups.
