A lot of men's issues just get swept under the rug. It's basically assumed that because some men achieve great success and status that men in general don't need help. As a result problems don't get taken seriously until they affect women. Also, many men are encouraged to be more emotionally vulnerable and seek help, but any guy who has ever been in a relationship can tell you emotional vulnerability turns women off sexually and then gets used as ammunition against you later. Attacking one's masculinity is so common women don't even realize they do it so often.

It really is a problem that men’s body dysphoria is not a prevalent topic. So many guys I know talk down about their appearances, even tho they look perfectly fine. The standards for a “good looking guy” are placed so high up I think a lot of men believe they aren’t good enough the way they are, and that they’ll never reach those standards. And it ends up leading to things like this
I had a friend that was obsessed with gaining muscles because he said women like that. I was like, women may like fit ppl but that doesn’t mean you have to look like a meathead. He would argue that I was wrong
