Lost Places: Maynard Mine

Trekking through the Green Swamp Wilderness I stumbled upon .... an abandoned limestone mine! Even though the water looks inviting I've since been told that it's teeming with Gators. It's also allegedly a popular fishing hole with the locals.

the vegetation blowing in the breeze gave me the impression of a comfortable day temperature-wise...but i have to assume it was hot. how was it during your hike?
