Nice trip. You need to get a tube out on that first lake of day 3. It can be incredible.
Lake 2 is probably the coolest place I've ever floated. It's only 33ft deep, but seems deeper.

@@UtahWaterLog it’s funny, we packed one with us in the ambulance but ended up never taking it with us to any of the lakes 🤦🏻‍♂️ I think if we each had one we would have been more inclined to hike em in!

Woah funny, we camped on that same mountain last year. Got a pic of the dog on the boulder in the turnout at the start. It was during hunting season so the whole top of the mountain was pretty occupied. Not bad, just glad I found a spot down low around 7k. My main goal was tenkara on the middle stretch of the creek then I did a little in one of the lakes. I got skunked HARD. But we had 0 mosquitoes and the aspens were in full color, so I can't complain.

@@jcarry5214 we thought it might look a little different around those parts during hunting season. We have already talked about going back for some fall colors!

@@MopFlyProductions. it was a solid A- on that part of the mountain. We’re both from northern New England so that’s about as good as the west can get from us, it was a nice bonus.

Nice video. Welcome to Southern Utah! Man, I can only imagine what the fuel costs are to feed that beast but, it's bad ass!

It's honestly not as bad as you'd think! we spent about 220$ on fuel and drove over a 1000 miles. camped out 4 nights. It was an awesome trip, and much cheaper than a hotel!

great video guys!! I backpack and fly fish the Sierra's in California all the time for golden trout. I never give up names of lakes and Creeks, just general areas, make them earn it lol. That being said, I have a few questions. would you recommend this as a good backpacking/ camp area? lakes looked great, but was it thick brush for setting up camps by the lakes? lastly if you feel comfortable can I get a general area, southwest Utah, northeast etc. just wanted to see if it's worth the trip from California. don't mind doing the research, just need a starting point. if not no worries and keep the great videos coming. cheers

Thank you! Goldens in the Sierras are definitely high on the list! We have some lakes with them here in Colorado but it's just not the same! We have a very similar outlook on sharing names of lakes and creeks ;) I would say start with a google search of tiger trout in Utah. That's all we did. Utah has pretty good stocking reports and have stocked them all over the state. We have now checked out two different areas that have them in much different parts of the state. Both are worth checking out in our opinion.
