As a former catcher, I can tell you that we love that stuff. I will also tell you that it puts your middle infielders in big jeopardy for plays at second.
Respect for the young. Tough catcher.

Bro was on his feet giving the staredown before homie could even fix his helmet. tuff.
Bro came from the dugout tf way out the baseline
If you round the base wide enough, technically that can be your “established” base path even if it’s not necessarily straight down the line. Looks like he was probably moving pretty quick and idk about you but it’s not very easy to make a 90 degree turn when running full speed
That's usually how rounding 3rd works

Why are they both so far out of the base path? You can’t even see the runner at the beginning of the video 😂
It's called momentum, when you have that much speed rounding 3rd you can't exactly cut on a dime. I bet that was a throw from the OF too.
@@alwayzchillin0714 I get it, but at some point you can’t be allowed to run that far out of the base path. If that’s the case, just run in the infield and make the distance shorter 😂
@@iWatchVods that isn’t shorter though. The shortest path is a direct straight line, ie. the foul line. Not only would you lose speed trying to cut your path inwards but it would be just about as long…
There’s not a base path until the tag is beginning to be attempted
@iWatchVods there's a reason it's called rounding the bases. Try it yourself. It isn't possible at full speed to make 90 degree turns. Leaving the baseline to avoid the tag is not allowed.
