I just went into Maiasmokk especially for a piece of this cake. The woman behind the counter looked at me like I was an idiot for asking about such a cake. I feel like walking back there and showing this video. She will probably just continue to look at me like im a talking hamto be honest. So many other great cafes. They are lucky they get people in because its " The Oldest in Tallinn " because they won't be flocking for the service
Love this as always. I would love to talk about some collaboration when we are here in late April. I studied culinary anthropology and dad is an archaeologist. We are looking for local perspectives on the food, history, and culture. Pleas let us know if you would be interested in helping us the story of your amazing city. - Bear
Two more recommendations to anyone checking out the comments: Kalamaja Pagarikoda on Jahu street (their chocolate cheesecake is out of this world) and Ristikheina Kohvik on Ristiku street (try their sea-buckthorn and goat cheese tart covered in white chocolate). Cheers!
Thanks for the vid, can't wait to visit and taste all of these!
Love your energy :-)

FROM VANCOUVER MERCI.... POUR LES PATISSERIES !!!!
As a local I would also recommend Bekker Pagariäri. Otherwise nice list and not too touristy 👍
I love their sourdough but I’m yet to visit their bakery. Thanks for the tip 😉
Wow thanks for all the suggestions. I went to a Fika café in Manly, Sydney Australia last week and had a Semla pastry.
This video is great but I would also recommend Literaat in Telliskivi. Great brunch and fantastic coffee
Thanks for the suggestion, will add it to the list for our next cafe video! 👍🏻
I find myself talking to you through my computer, saying "Yes, let's do enjoy some cakes!"

What’s the name of the little estononian pancakes ? 😋
Thank you, do you mean “sõrnikud” aka pancakes made with curd?

Fantastic, thank you for these recommendations!
Lotsa calories to shake off after 10 cafes! 😄
My wife loves Syrniki, I checked Gallery Cafe website and they don't have them listed. Anyone suggest a good place in Tallinn that serves Syrniki?
Oh that’s a shame. I’ve heard Cafe Grenka serves sõrniki, may be worth checking them out.
@@VisitTallinn on my list now, thank you!
Why. Or other cities. I love all ur Tallinn videos. Other city’s dou show ..?
Φίλη μου έρχομαι Ταλίν να τα φάω όλα!!!! Soon ❤❤

Hey, you can follow Polly's TH-cam channel @ClassicPolly :)
She's absolutely brilliant, I love her enthusiasm
WHERE CAN WE GET THE BEST ICE CREAM IN TALINN ?
My wild guess would be Gelato Ladies: www.gelatoladies.ee/
Eclair factory permanently closed down :(
Thanks for the video.
Sadly yes, Eclair factory is closed now.
Omigosh did you dip your pastry in your coffee? 😳😂
moskva sai at narva cafe
those fake crunching sounds are irritating AF.
why do you have so incredible non-critical? This is nothing more than a commercial for certain cafés.
To be fair, she's eating sweet cakes and drinking coffee. There probably won't be many negatives. if any at all
You’re on a Tallinn tourism page, what did you expect? The worst bits of Tallinn?
