You can build your career in French irrespective of your academics background. French can be done in parallel to your degree.

It's not mandatory to do post graduation in a language until you want to enter into teaching at universities.
In your case, pick French as part-time from DU or from a good teacher and manage both job and studies together.

For vocabulary, write and learn. Make 2-3 sentences for each word you learn. This technique will automatically fix the word in your head.

@LishaArora ma'am your advice would be really helpful for me to decide whether i should learn either one of these languages....
Try learning both for a week and decide where your interest lies. If at the end of the day, the language doesn’t interest you, you’ll drop it and never get a job.
Hence, interest matters.
