Cruel Hart was not a good brother, he may have loved him but he never actually expressed that to deon when he needed it as a child, and it's never shown that he tries to actually become a big figure in his younger siblings life as a child/when he needed him most. Deons parents suck too as they neglected him they may have loved him but that doesn't mean they were good parents. This is why i hate those videos where Deon starts to cry and in 1 second fixes his relationship with his brother. He does care about him, don't get me wrong. i just feel like he would still resent them because he hates them for not loving him and sending him to war. In his life he has never seen this love, and if this love is never expressed in a way he could tell they cared, was it ever really love, could we say the love was there.
@@errormessage1611 that is true, but i would argue that's a good act, One act (the very selfless one) like that doesn't erase the trauma he gave his brother, I believe being a good sibling to each other is to repent for the (bad) trauma you gave your sibling and to be there for them, also he did just give his sibling more trauma by sacrificing himself, when there may have been another way I believe that you can be a good person but also be a bad family member

Spoilers(For ending and Epilouge) He literally Annihilated both Demon Kingdom and Empire(Ofc including Duke) by himself after finding out the Truth that Old Lady Prophecy came True he actually Destroyed the World and Died in the End. After Death He met a God of Death where he asked him to relief Cruel from his Sins which he committed(His Soul wont be reborn and would've been sent to hell because of crime he committed for Duke and he took all that Sins for Himself in exchange he will be born without Eyesight in next life(If i remember correctly its been a while since i read the Novel) but even in next they were together with Cruel taking care of a disabled and blind Leon. The Ending is Kinda depressing
