As it was purely based on that performance. More over, Background singer and Singing Live in front of so many people especially in a big singing competition - these 2 r completely different things. In background singing u can take multiple retakes, not in Live performance or singing competition

I think Sonu and the other judges took the right decision on sharing the actual judgement based on how Jubin performed on that day. Even Jubin acknowledged that it was not his best. So it is a win on both sides. Judges made the right judgement and Jubin took the right actions for improving his talents. And when both of these actions came together, the actual talent came out!! Hats off to both Judges and Jubin. Perfect example of Win-Win!!

I would still say Sonu was right, how many modern bollywood singers can deliver a live vocal on stage these days. It would have been awesome if Jubin came back to the stage live singing, but unfortunately its lip-sync. I think Sonu and the other judges took the right decision on sharing the actual judgement based on how Jubin performed on that day. Even Jubin acknowledged that it was not his best.
So it is a win on both sides. Judges made the right judgement and Jubin took the right actions for improving his talents. And when both of these actions came together, the actual talent came out!!

I would still say Sonu was right, how many modern bollywood singers can deliver a live vocal on stage these days. It would have been awesome if Jubin came back to the stage live singing, but unfortunately its lip-sync.
