Hehe ... I just bought them for about 7,5 $.. so I was worried when I heard 20 😝 ... I had the same problem with the primary red ... Too much bonding goop ... I had to squeeze about a quater of the tube to get to the pigment

I have a 24 color set of this and it has been my main set for more than two years and this is the first time I saw a review about it. And it's amazing I love the review so much especially when you compared it to other brands it comforts me that it's a good set after all. Thank you so much. Keep it up Sir!
yes, i agree. it is super decent for the price and it is one of the most avaialble in our local market. im curious about the 24 color set because in this 12 color set, my main issue is the color choice. maybe someday, id be able to try a bigger set. thank you so much sir for watching and for appreciation. 🙏🎨

The three blues why, rather have a darker green and a purple.
That makes sense.. and the blues are all deep. I wish they just had clear or single pigment pb29, pb15 & pb27 rather than multiple combinations in one color, so that they won't look all the same.
Hello again! Yeah, lightfast testing we have to wait while the paint sits in the sun. Nice review. Good to know these pebeo paints are more opaque.
Hi! And I will need to research more about the process. Im planning to start around January 2021 to March or April. These months have the least rain..😉 yes, these paints are ok and pigmented unless you hate opaque paints..😉

Great comprehensive review! I subscribed to your channel just now. Interesting that you found the Pebeo watercolors more intense than the Gansai Tambi. I have a different experience. I found the Pebeo colors quite weak personally -- weaker than Prang and Sakura Koi. Don't get me wrong, though. They're not bad at all. Definitely not as bad as other youtube reviewers make them out to be.
Hi. Thank you for subscribing and for watching the review. First, i think there lots of factors that can affect our results.. i tested out Pebeo tubes and the others in solid form without moisteing the paints. That is how i do the process for solids to see how easily the activate. When i compared pebeo against prang and koi, i said the two are "less performing' and not necessarily less intense. What made koi and prang lost a point over Pebeo is is Koi's "sandy" texture and weird flow on wet on wet, while Prang, though moved really well and intense has flat and very color-wheel limitation. On pebeo vs gansai tambi, i just felt that tambi is less intense, and as mentioned earlier, the fact that i didnt wet the paints prior starting may have affected its intensity as compared to pebeo which i used directly from tubes. However, in other pan sets, i dont experience less intense colors even if i do not wet them first. I have not seen much negative reviews on Pebeo except for their pans sets, which were really weak accg to some vloggers.. well, there are lots of factors, and instances that make different tests results but that doesn't necessarily mean that one is less reliable than the other. ☺️

I bought the 24 set. The set is beautifull. My watercolour paint tubes are still closed. I also bought a canson watercolour a4 sketchbook. I no longer paint whit acrylic paint. I feel comfortabel whit the oils and watercolours of pebeo. I find the tree blue colours weird in one set. My paint colours that i always use are: Alizarin crimson,Cadmium primary Yellow,ultramarine blue,tittanium white,intense black,gold,silver and magenta. I would rather have a gold,silver,purple or my favoriet colour magenta. I love this review of the pebeo watercolour set

I love the brand Pebeo. I paint whit acrylic and oil paint and i ordered the pebeo oil and acrylic paints sets and i love them. They are afforadable,great pigments and very good for a biginner like myself. Now i wanna buy the pebeo watercolour set
Hello. Pebeo paints are good for its price and would definitely be one of my recommendations for affordable paints. Go ahead and get yourself a set of their watercolors. It'll surely gonna last long. 😊
Hello i wanna paint now whit gouache and i wanna try acrylic gouache. No oil paints from pebeo altho i love that brand and no Acrylic paints
@lifeismusicparnadonkers i have bot tried acrylic gouache.. but have tried gouache and acrylic. Totally exciting mediums to engage to, but for now, im staying with my watercolors. Please enjoy acryl-gouache and let us know your experience and thoughts with it.

Thank you so much 😀 I try my best to bring out the best in every material that i use.. the advantage of high quality materials though are lightfastness, or high pigment load and great dispersion. In some lower quality paints, you need more effort in mixing well and in dispersion, but for lightfastness, you cant do anything than to just keep the painting away from direct light. :)
I have those pebeo watercolors but unfortunately my daughter played with it even though i kept it hidden from everyone because that's the only pricey watercolors i had! I can recommend the national book store's watercolor tubes too! I last use them last two years ago before i moved out of my place and some of my items are lost, and i cannot find another set of those on the national bookstore near me... All i find is the cakes and the sticky watercolor (like the prang).

It may be my monitor, but all 3 of those blues look pretty identical. Quite a few of the cheaper sets seem to have that issue (not always with blue, the Niji set had two reds that were basically the same), which makes mixing very difficult.
No, it's not your monitor. All those 3blues look almost same. They look like a combination of pb15 as and pb29.. yes, cheap paints usually have identical colors and it's disappointing that it also happens in a 12-color set in it's 3colors. 😔

Thanks Allan for great review.... I am from India, used camel colours throughtout my life, now using brusto 48 shades pan.... Want to try other brands but should be economical.... Kindly suggest few names... Pebeo, staedlter. But artist grade... Your recommendations will be helpful.
Thanks Jaya. Some of the most affordable artist grade paints I know that are atleast can be as good (or better than) as Camlin is the White Nights, Maries' Masters, Paul Rubens. The other artist grade paints in my reviews are far more expensive. Camlin's price is I think, unmatched.

The pebeo 24 watercolour set comes whit 4 blue,s, 4 greens and 3 yellow,s😐 but its a nice set for the price and i have my favoriet blue ultramarine
That makes me want to try out the 24 color set. Ultramarine is one of the basic colors that needs to be reviewed in each brand and not seeing it in small set gives a feeling that the set is somehow incomplete. Hehe. I believe they now do show the pigment codes, don't they?

I whised that the Pebeo watercolours tubes were bigger like my 200 ml oil tubes. But the pigments are great and the colours are amazing
I think they should just put 2 blues and a replace the 1 blie with a skintone

I want to buy one set, but medium range. Camlin n brusto are 2 brands i am using. But want to try other brand in mid range as a begginer.
hmm. this Pebeo set is not any better than Camlin. Maybe you should checkout Superior, Sonnet and Van Gogh. :)

hi Sylvie. I have not tried putting them in pans yet, but basing on the paints that leaked in their lids, i think these paints are prone to cracking. :(

Yes, i can vouch that the W&N paints are good, especially their tube paints. W&N are one of the go to paints of the classic masters and you can not go wrong with their professional version.

Oil, Acrylics, and watercolor meron ako nyan eh hahaha... Dun sa acrylics nagandahan misis ko.. Yung sa Oil is pwede na compare sa MagiWap o Maries... Sa watercolor ay pwede na rin.. Pero sa ibang reviewer like Eve Bolts sinumpa nya yung pan version nyan hahaha.... Anyways napansin ko yung swatch color mo ay parang iba yung shades ayon sa pigment name nila like yung mga blues halos pare pareho sila hahaha....yung Sap Green parang Green Pale Light eh at yung Yellow Ochre ang dull ng dating...

bonjour, j'ai deja essayé cet peinture, c'est pas intense les couleurs.. en ce moment j'utilise la van gogh en godet c'est mieux intense ..en ce moment je cherche la van gogh tubes, je ne trouve plus.
oui, VanGogh est bien meilleur. VanGogh est l'une de mes peintures de niveau étudiant de niveau avancé les mieux notées. Pas un match avec Pébéo.

Chalky as in nagpopowderise siya and doesn’t adhere to the paper well? Yes medyo opaque, but not chalky naman like Simbalion and Best Buy. This Pebeo is school grade so medyo di rin ako nag eexpect. Though may mga better sets like Superior na mas mura. 😁
