Let's get back to this great locker I bought for $1,300 at the storage auction. It's contents include the inventory of an eBay business, but there's a lot of other goodies too, which we continue to find in boxes in this episode. One of the finds include a locked briefcase, but that's no problem because I also found the key... it's hammer time!

I totally agree with you about organization Jack. It amazes me some of the conditions of the lockers I have seen you go through. I just recently had to sell my house and my unit does not have one piece of paperwork in it. Lol! Not yet anyway, but it will be very minimal. This has been a great locker. Lots of valuable stuff!

Beyond great finds!
We had to store most of our belongings when we moved out of state for a year. I had help, who was bringing it all to the storage unit for me, while I organized and directed at home. When we finally got back, I discovered things were thrown in in such a haphazard way. I was beyond upset. Lots of things got broken, or ruined. I even ended up with a few bags and boxes of trash in there! Sometimes the lack of pride isn't on the owner :/ I feel for some of these people.

great sock lot of the new ones. rest to flea mkt or donate to a men's shelter. they always need socks.

One of my first VCR's in the 1980's was a Mitsubishi. They made high quality machines. I loved mine. I used to be able to copy movies from other VCRs to it. $300 was about the price I paid. I used to keep the boxes of my electronics too.
I recently sold a Brother sewing machine I put in the original box. Don't look under my house...he he....lots of boxes! Marianne from Washington state
Those Val's mugs were cool. Live about 200 yards up the hill from that joint in the early 90s. They had some of the best burgers in the Hawar/ Castro Valley area.

Hey, Jack! Recheck those 2 Pearls to Swine books. If they are signed they're worth money. Me and at least 6 others saw the autographs on both books. Then check the other books to see if any were signed by the author(s). Signed books are worth more than unsigned books.
The golf socks, shirts, pants sweaters are all great auction items. Also all those golf club head covers are worth probably 20-25 $ each. Maybe take a couple of those catalogs and educate yourself on the many golf items.

It is really interesting how the items were packed. I wonder if he was working out of the unit. They don't really seem to be stored by ID, size, type etc. So many half full totes. Maybe they were taking things out little by little. Waiting to see if you find a back story to this one. I do know that in my city two of the golf courses in our area have shut down. They say the last couple of generations have not been interested in golf. But I also know a few high schools kids that love it. peace, y'all

Yes congrats on thinning down im sure you feel much better with all the work in the heat you have to do...i too have lost 33 pounds since march and i feel sooooo much better.

The bracelet looking things with little knobs on ends are magnetic for arthritis pain. John Wayne wore one in his movies. Just a little trivia added.
That Maker's Mark stuff Jack tossed out is starting to be collected. It was sent out to people on the mailing list and no one else.

When VCR’s first came out, they were very expensive. The first one we bought in the early 80’s was almost 900 dollars.
The previous owner of this locker was a classic dresser. You have found black and brown leather items throughout. His wardrobe items tell me he was always well dressed.
The Mackingson beer tray,is from the UK could be worth a few quid.

I noticed when you found the blue velvet box that was empty...Earlier yesterday when you opened the wooden one that you pulled out the silver and gold bangle which goes into that box. It looks to be sterling and 14 ct gold to me. Ler me know if that's true please

27:05 Heidelberg Germany, there is a US Army Base. "Neckar" is the River Heidelberg is located at. And the small one says "Dragonrock". The other one says "Baumholder" there is a US Army Base also. And the other ones are from Cities nearby "Heidelberg". I think he was a while in Germany with the Army.

The leather shows with the "longlife" brand are just resoled. Longlife is likely the repair sole. Look them up. Resoled are mostly quality shoes. Could be some ferragamos and woth couple bucks.

Those briefcases with the three numbers on each side are not that difficult to open. Maybe a project for a kid. You start with 000 and go to 999. You will find the combo and someone could use it instead of going to the landfill if you care about that stuff.
What diet are you doing Jack? Is it easy to sell books with Amazon?
What’s your favorite fueling? The wife loved making waffles out of the brownie mix.

I'm not understanding the dollar bids on huge lockers with wall to wall boxes. There must not be much competition in the bidding process. It's great to bid that amount but seems a bit odd.
