if I am using Raspberry PI as a microprocessor to operate LIDAR, do I connect Ethernet cable to Raspberry PI? Also, would you have any libraries available for Raspberry Pi? Thank you for your answer!

Yes, you can easily operate the LiDAR with a Raspberry Pi by connecting them via the ethernet interface.
Please refer to this library/driver which also builds on Raspberry Pi architectures: github.com/SICKAG/sick_scan_xd

Thank you very much! So,Iwant to know what is the unit of the distances that color in red. How do I do ?

      Dear Batchinn Batchello,
The unit of the distance values is millimeter (mm), as you can see in the telegram listing document (sick.com/8014631) in chapter 4.3.5 on page 77.
For easier use and understanding you can convert the distance values from HEX or ASCII to decimal using your own evaluation program or e.g. Excel.

Hello, i'm using lidar Tim 310 and when i tried this request, and i always get 0 from data, am i wrong in any steps ?

Hello @tuannguyenhoanganh564, the TiM310 is not able to output measuring data as it is exclusively equipped with the integrated field evaluation to detect objects in its field of view. The result of this evaluation is sent on a digital output. To use the telegram output to get raw measuring data you either need a TiM2xx, TiM5xx or TiM7xx device.

Thank you for the video. How do we open the window that you have at 3:15 in the video. I want to record data at an interval, say every 10th scan. How do I do that?

The displayed window is a section of the device parameter page "Ranging". Here it is possible to configure / influence the measurement data telegram. In other words, what you would like to have from the scanner must be set or filtered in the scanner itself. The terminal is then only the "display tool".
