I can't explain how happy this makes me. I've been watching for a long time and seeing you so happy enjoying Korean food legit made me cry. I'm so happy and proud of you Martina

Good to know. I've seen either pink or green frogs outside of Korean supermarkets or restaurants around southeastasia. I was wondering what do they mean too
My partner and I fell in love with that frog last Summer when we were in Korea. We're looking to go again (in a few years unless we win the lottery haha) and bring some of our family with us along for a second soju filled adventure.
Hi Martina! Longtime viewer of, I wanna say just about 10 years? Maybe even a bit more, maybe even 11? Unsure, but I just wanna say I am so happy that you are still here on our planet and I am thankful to still have your videos to watch. Of course, I don't want this comment to put undue stress on you. Take care of yourself first, we'll be here waiting for you in between videos! And if you decide to retire, I'll still support you and wish you well
So nice to see your comment, and it puts no stress on me. It’s amazing to me that people have watched me bumble through my life and are still interested in seeing what new adventures I’m going on years later. Thanks for the support and hope you enjoy the new King Kogi videos!
I stayed in Korea town in Tokyo while visiting Japan and it was a great experience. I am a foreigner that lives in Korea and Korea town really felt like I was still in Korea. The food was there, Korean tourists everywhere and the hostel I stayed at was held by a Korean family. Great memories and I remember getting compliments on my Korean language from ajummas. :D
I live in the States, but I'm from an area with a large Korean population. Watching this reminded me of trawling H Mart for delicacies as a teenager with my dad.
Big time nostalgia 💕 and thanks for the editing complement, I’d say that the King Kogi Quests I take it easy on the editing and filming so that I’m not too achy afterwards, so I’m glad you still liked it!
OMG seeing you in a Korean restaurant and showing all the signed photos of old school k-pop groups who had visited like Tohoshinki/TVXQ, Infinite, Girls Generation and Kara (feels weird to call them "old school" since they were still active around 10 years ago but k-pop has changed so much in a decade), I was getting major EYK throwback vibes... 🥰
Been a long time lurker fan, never had the courage to comment. But seeing you grow and heal these past few years has brought me so much joy! This channel brings me so much joy and strength! It was amazing seeing you so excited about Korean food again! The vibes were immaculate in this video! Many blessings ♡
"Martina doesn't know yet... But today's lunch will be epic." Honestly, those are the best days and the best meals! And japchae is the perfect party food. I made it for the first time when bringing it to a Thanksgiving potluck in the states and it was a hit 🎯
Omg those star tteok brought me back to the second video I ever found of martina back in like 2012! It was her cooking in a tiny apartment in Korea and her sparkling personality made me a life long fan!
This video made me realise I've been watching your vids for 10 years now.... In 2013 I started watching Eat Your Kimchi and around the same time I moved in with 3 Korean guys. They were so friendly and welcoming. When I moved in they made me samgyeopsal and we drank plenty of soju & maekju to celebrate me joining the group. Thanks for the trip down memory lane; looks like you enjoyed the trip too xx
Oh gosh this brings back the memories. When I first started watching your videos in Korea we only had one tiny Filipino grocery store that had a tiny amount of Korean food and there wasn't any Korean restaurants near me. Now there is a Korean supermarket in my nearest big city and even a Korean restaurant in my northern English town
This is so nostalgic for me!!! I feel so proud of myself for remembering what jjigae and jeon meant because of your teachings in the past! So neat, love this one!
I almost cried with you too. Long time viewer and recall the good videos you had from Korea. It helped me when I went a long time ago. Sending love and happy thoughts of all things Korean.
Martina, as a longggggggggggggggggg time viewer and I mean long, it makes me so happy to see you so happy in your element here. I still remember your heart and star shaped ddeokboki video
Hello Martina! Ever since i’ve discovered your channel, i love how it makes me feel so at ease, your way of explaining things while showing us so many aspects of Korea and Japan is honestly so beautiful and entrancing. Thank you so much for doing what you do!!! You’re awesome! ✨❤️🫂
It can't be stated that local food is so important to your memory and well being. It's more than just nourishment or flavor, but an actual connection and memory to places and your past. After I left Korea I had wicked flashbacks as I moved to an area which has a larger urban Korean food chain and community. When I first walked into a giant well known Korean supermarket after a 15 year absence all the memories came flooding back. And all the tasty stuff too of course! I am still in the same area so now I get the best of both worlds!
Just wanted to say that these more casual videos are my favourites - real throwback vibes and I think this is when we can really see your personality shine. Totally open to more of these versus Tokyo Tours!
I had little tears at the corner of my eyes during the korean restaurant part. I had a great one here in Montreal and the owners had to go back to Korea, and I miss it so. Your enjoyment was so nice to see and I could feel the loveliness of the people at that restaurant through the screen
Omg I got teary eyed when watching you eat lunch 🥺🥺🥺 I lived in Korea for a while and I miss it so so much. Now I’m across the world and oh… it looked so lovely.
Martina, this was such a blast to watch! I was getting excited right along with you! Thank you so much for sharing these happy moments of your life with us!
It's been a while since I've watched your videos Martina but I've been subbed to your channels for over 10 years now. This is so nostalgic!! Hope you are well! 😊
I used to watch a lot of your Korean content back in the day. As a Korean American who has spent all his life in the US I used your videos to learn about Korean culture. Thank you for all you do. ❤
It was so wonderful to see you enjoying Korean culture and food again in a video. It was immensely nostalgic in all the best ways, your days in Korea inspired me endlessly just as your time now in Japan does. I may or may not have become a little teary-eyed and sentimental. Thank you for continuing to share your life and journey with us, it is a huge gift that has gotten me through so many hard days.
Martina your videos are some of the only imes recently that I just jump to watch as soon as they pop up on my feed. I love them soo much and I love to see you so happy and excited!!!
the little Korean oma/ajumma hanging on you side at the restaurant instructing you how to eat the pajeon not knowing you already know quite a bit about Korean food already is also super legit, hahhahahahahhahahahahhahaahahhah I don't remember when they brought that soju back, but it's a really really old one that was brought back in style maybe in 2018 or 2019, I do remember seeing it heavily advertised before I moved away from Korea
Martina, you literally look like a godess coming from the train station, that selfie stick angle suits you!! It's nice seeing you speak Korean and eat Korean again!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Just finished crocheting my cat a new cat bed and was about to get ready for bed when I saw your video. I’m all set back up with snacks for some King Kogi! 🐽
Hi Martina! I’ve been a fan since I was in high school (14 years old ish ?) I’m now 26 and I still rewatch all ur videos and have a good laugh every single time. I’m having a hard time lately and watching ur videos just puts a smile on my face. Virtual hugs ❤ thanks for creating more videos
Youre like the sweetest person on this earth. Its the cutest to see you so excited about food. It really reminds me of myself. Nothing feels better than some good Korean food.
Pitter patter went my heart. Been watching you since just after you started in Korea and i met you in Chicago, I loved seeing you cover some Korean themed content.
I’ve been watching for 8 years and the videos are just as good, if not better, as they always have been. Keep being amazing Martina and blessing us with the best content 🥰
This video made me so happy and sad all at the same time. I miss the Korea days! Like not just you living there and your adventures but lately I just don't listen to K-pop, k-r&b, k-indie, etc. Or watch kdramas much. Such a fun video to watch and all your old time fans feeling the same nostalgic feels with you; ahhh love it
It was so great to see you excited, happy and a bit tipsy while having an adventure. I loved how things “just happened” and that you told us how the party went. I almost peed myself when you said, “In my day….” Oh and the flash back to the old selfie stick day was a hoot as well.
THANK YOU! I need to share this... I had a moment when you were saying the ingredients in sundubu jjigae I just started learning Korean (common foods etc. to start with) and OMG I actually said the English translation out loud in Korean before you translated them and was so excited when I realized I had recognized them before needing the translation! small step I know, but so happy to know that I'm actually retaining the words :)
Hi 👋🏻 Martina!! I just wanted to say that I’m really grateful of your videos. I’m currently working and going to college and those two things is kinda affecting my mental health. I’m always mentally exhausted and lethargic and your videos is a source of escape. Your videos bring happiness and joy to my heart and mind and I’m really grateful about that! Thx Martina!! ❤❤ ☺️
Seeing Martina so happy to be eating and sharing Korean goods again warms my little heart. You can really tell she enjoyed herself immensly and that restaurant looked so legit. If only I could crawl through screen and eat there.
I loved this and how you had to have a moment with how many feels all that delicious food was making you feel. Your look of pure joy was probably super rewarding to the hardworking owner and his staff! Such a great video! Now this makes me want to go to my local kmarket and make some kimchi jjigae!❤
Oh, my emergency Airbnb was in Shin-Okubo last time I was in Tokyo. I did notice there were so many Korean restaurants. Made sure to eat at one before I left of course
How nostalgic is it to see you in a Korean grocery store and speaking Korean!! So happy you got to have this happiness Martina! Thanks for sharing 🖤
I felt sooooo nostalgic!
If you don't have a friend like Martina, BE a friend like Martina. The world needs more of this energy. 💝
I can't explain how happy this makes me. I've been watching for a long time and seeing you so happy enjoying Korean food legit made me cry. I'm so happy and proud of you Martina
Exactly the same for me
Yes, it made me cry as well!😭
Same, made me so nostalgic and happy
I’m not alone 😅

Honestly you getting accidentally drunk at lunch because of the kindness of Koreans IS the most Korean part of this hahaha I love it.
I stayed in Korea town in Tokyo while visiting Japan and it was a great experience. I am a foreigner that lives in Korea and Korea town really felt like I was still in Korea.
