Could you imagine this with a few trumpets or several brass instruments? It would blow the walls out. It almost sounds as if there is a brass ensemble already. Pure power piece.
First time I heard Branca I already knew GY!BE for a while and had heavily ingested almost everything they put out. I listened to The Ascension album and I could hear the original inspiration of so many post-rock/no-wave/post-punk bands, it’s ridiculous how forward thinking and how much of a precursor Glenn was.
my goodness what a song, imagine if this was the whole studio version
Seen my favourite band live 7 times now & i’m still waiting to hear this in the flesh!! 😭😭
Marvellous set in Oslo, Norway, tonight. This was their apex. 🔥
Heh, I'm not alone coming back to this after tonight
@@olavgrimstadnilsen4521 Yes also here.
6:40 on is one of the most kinetic pieces of music I've ever heard
Absolutely incredible. Reminds me of how they played it in Chicago back in the spring of ‘18.

I think they never have horns live? Which is a shame because so many of their best pieces have horns on the record.
12'30" really minds me of Glenn Branca's Light Field (In Consonance)
