- Bullied and lonely, transfer student Makoto meets class president Ruka, an aloof rich kid who becomes drawn to the kind hearted Makoto and they develop a special friendship.
Oba Makoto (Domoto Tsuyoshi) is a bright and happy kid, loved by his father and his step-mother. Together they run a restaurant. He has just been admitted in one of the most prestigious private school in town, making his dad very proud. In the school, he meet Ruka (Domoto Koichi) and other boys. He becomes a target of bullying when he stands for the injustices he starts to see happening in his class. He is brutally attacked not only by students but also by a PE teacher (aren't the teachers supposed to protect their students?) We become witnesses of how this innocent soul who didn't do anything wrong deteriorates each episode little by little.
But this story is also about Ruka, Makoto's very first "friend" who happened to be a sadistic boy with complicated feelings towards Makoto, he's apparently in love with him but also does nothing when their classmates bully him (and sometimes he's also part of the bullies).
This story is actually about how cruel, inhuman, and selfish society can be. It shows the worst side of human beings.

honestly the plot and acting is pretty good. i really wish their were more BL's filmed in this realistic style, it feels raw and more real. the old vibes as well are immaculate, thanks for sharing! :)
But the storyline is quite painful for makoto. My tears won't stop coming out when I watch it. 😢
That looked like a BL in the purest form . I don't know what the coaches problem was. But it wasn't necessary to pick on the students. He should have been fired. The nerds problem was he wasn't in first place anymore and was jealous over the new student . Karma is a bitch

The gymnastics teacher is a fool .... how can he be allowed to teach ?? Is it possible that no one denounces him? There were no cell phones back then to make movies ... it would have been a test
@@azzurragrasso8846 Actually the gym teacher is later killed by Makoto /Oba 's dad. When his dad gets letters from someone with pictures of the gym teacher punishing his son. Call me sadistic but I felt at ease when his dad murdered the gym teacher the same way his son was punished.. I still cried watching the last episode though!!..

@@maebackmusic8186 Well the detective/police couldn't find the culprit who killed the gym teacher cause they had no solid evidence.. Oba's young step mom who's pregnant says that oba's dad was home that day even tho he wasn't. She confronts him but he denies the claim. Later you can see his dad following one of Oba's bullies.. I can only assume that he's gonna take revenge of them too.. That's where it ends..

This is one of the most disturbing series i have seen.why don't anyone do anything for him?
Even though his friend is supposedly infatuated with him, he is also sadistic. Obviously he has some deep emotional issues. The drama synopsis (which I copied and pasted below the video) actually described him as sadistic, so I knew going in- but I still was troubled.🥺😭
I read this drama was supposed to show the darker side of human nature and bullying. It definitely did😬
Back then the reality was different than now. People are more accepting than they were in the old days..
I wasn't even born when this came out but I desperately want to watch the full series even though I know it will be painful just from this video and according to the spoilers😭😭😭

I know! They were so deep and emotional and dark! I finally had to watch it but I went back and rewatched their good moments afterward! Because it felt very heavy. It is one of my favorites even though it probably shouldn't be! ❤❤️🩹❤

This is way too deep for me, I read in comments the boy ends up committing suicide, I can't watch stuff like that,it will haunt me for days cuz it is really too closed to the reality of bullying,let alone being young and gay on top of that...and in a time period where it definitely wasn't as accepted as today,..too much for me.
Can't say if makoto gay or not bcs the one who loves him is raku. It's one sided, raku did kiss him when he's unconscious at the pool and he didn't know about it. Raku never tell about his feelings towards makoto. About the suicide, it's more to the bullies kill him. The bullies push/force him to the edge till makoto makes a decision to jump off from the roof. So yeah, the bullies are the criminals. Also the teachers too. Mindsick.

I don’t think anyone can cause the drama came out in 1994 watching the drama with subtitles is hard to find anywhere and even the raw episodes are also hard to find no one can find the rest or the last episodes

I don't really know how to explain, I just enjoyed the drama so much, I really did. I would watch Domoto Tsuyoshi in anything, his dramas are so emotionally charged. Now his character is bromance while the other male lead was rather sadisticly in love with him. So its hard to say lol I guess it's both?
