"...Giant sparkling unicorn fart..."😂 really graphic and true!😂
🤣👍
I just got mine a few weeks ago and I loved this video! Thank you for sharing with us! I am not apprehensive to use it now.
No worries, definitely no need to be apprehensive it was surprisingly easy to use, very little mess too 👍
So THATS how metalflake paints' done 😀 I remember friend's Vespa sidepanels years ago, having fantastic sprayjobs like this but never knew how it was done! Cheers for this one 👍 Martin & Jo
You can put the Flake on wet too by mixing it with a clear but dry is better for small scale stuff.
You should hold the trigger of the airbrush down when setting the pressure on the regulator. It will be much easier to accurately adjust.
True, what was I thinking 🤔 too excited to try it out 🤣
@@ttxela Haha, I can understand.
The panel turned out great.
I'm gonna try flake painting a gundam model kit sometime for am awesome flake paintjob that really pops in the sun and under lights :)
The Flake King should be ideal for that 👍
Hi Alex.. Wish I knew you 2 years ago when I retired.. I throw away all my paint, metal flake and gold leaf book along with spray guns of all sizes and types. I use to paint allot of custom cars, but had someone in to do the drawings, but i would laquer and flake them.. Merry Christmas Bud
Wow, that's a shame. Have you got photos of the custom cars you painted? That would make a great video!
Merry Christmas!
Thanks Alex.. Some where I have..? They are on hard drives that computers that I replaced, I always kept the hard drive.. Just never got around to looking back on them..
Definitely think it would be interesting 👍
I always hate to hear when people end up throwing out cool custom paint supplies
Do a circular motion when applying the flake! It makes a uniform pattern and you don't wind up with level paints!
Thanks 👍, I'll definitely try that next time!
Very cool. You have to collect the over spray flake before you clear coat it.
A big advantage of dry flake I guess.
Thanks for the demo you changed the direction when spraying your sealer you may want to do the same with the glitter.
Good point, I might try that 👍
Shows promise for some future masterpieces. Always nice to see Mr Ginge!
He likes to keep a close eye on things .
Started off flakey and got worse 🤣🤣🤣 have a great Christmas and New Year.
You too, sounds like you have good plans 👍
be interesting to see it within a design
That's the next step I guess, needs to be left to cure for a while first.
Thank you so much for this video. I make cakes and I am trying to find some adapter that will allow me to throw some shine on my cakes without shinning my whole kitchen. I have Master airbrushes. Do you think this Flake King will work for me?
Unfortunately I don't think they make an adaptor currently for Master airbrushes. Could be worth having a chat with SM Designs in Ireland as they import them.
Very nice
I'm very pleased with it, everything that stays still long enough will now be made to sparkle 🤣
Is this meant for a specific airbrush? I like the results. Nice job!!
It connects to the airbrush by means of an adaptor and there are different adapters to suit a few different airbrush models.
Ttxela can I use my regular airbrush to spray on glitter flakes ???
It depends on which airbrush you have, you need the correct adaptor to get the Flake King to fit.
@@ttxela I’ve got .3 mm needle and tips
Air brush adaptor thingy, must be the technical term LOL
Of course 👍🤣
what size needle are you using
It's on a standard HP-CS, so the 0.35 needle.
Is it normal for metal flake flying all over the place? My end product is great but I need to vacuum my floor😂
Sounds like you might have the pressure a bit high, you really need very little air 👍
@@ttxela thanks for the knowledge mann🔥
No worries, what are you flaking? I've done a few things now, very pleased with it 👍
@@ttxela I’m flaking my Harley scale model… it turns out really great…. I’m gonna post a video of my new project in a few days🔥🔥
What is the flake kit
The flakes themselves? Just Flake King show krome ones that came with the adaptor.
