    You’ve heard the compact Delay Llama for years belting out warm analog delay tones and you’ve seen it taken to Xtremes, with tap tempo, presets and pitch shifting modulation. Now, the JAM Pedals Delay Llama mk.3 is an offering right in the middle, giving you classic analog tones with honest reproductions of the Panasonic MN3205 BBD plus Tap Tempo in the same compact enclosure as the original. Choose 8th, Quarter, or Dotted 8th subdivisions to easily keep you in time up to 600ms. Plus, the compact Mk.3 is loaded with cool bypass options that lets you choose true bypass or trails and best of all, how many repeats to fade out with via an internal trimpot. This is a great feature to have if playing on the verge of oscillation and you want to fade out smoothly went bypassing the pedal. Speaking of oscillation, holding the Tap switch gradually ramps to maximum repeats, making this Mk.3 a powerful analog delay without the need for external expression pedals. Like all JAM Pedals, the Delay Llama mk.3 is handmade and handpainted in Greece with great attention to detail. Check out Jampedals.com for the whole lineup of analog offerings.

    Andy going full Beast-Mode to start 2022. That song, and those repeats sound killer. Reminiscent of the old Memory-man. Nice feature-set in a small pedal-format. Always enjoy your demo's brother.

    If I didn't already have the Xtreme I would 100% pick this up, it has everything I use from the Xtreme other than the presets! Amazing work from JAM as always, and a superb demo 💚

    Great opening jam. Now, if you please, excuse me while I go slap my llama.
    That was my llama-ha-ha-ha for today.
    I do wish pedal makers would drill a hole in the case for those internal pots.

  • @chuckjcarter
    @chuckjcarter 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Both of my delays are big monstrosities. The Alter Ego X4 (thanks Andy, that purchase was all you and PGS) and the Volante are just big chunks of pedal board. This pedal would offer less options than the AEX4 but man would it free up the real estate.

    • @rasm0225
      @rasm0225 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I really like analog delays. this is nice features and sounds most excellent, really smooth... that name is clever. have you ever reviewed that malekko616 sitting on the shelf behind you? i got ruined when i had a chance to play with a diamond memory lane for a month.

  • @Updog89

    How does this compare to the aquapuss, I wonder?

    • @AndyDemos
      @AndyDemos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Aqua has a shorter range up to 300ms and no tap tempo obviously but also these two have circuit differences that will give them their own unique voicing. Both are going to be darker, dirtier repeats but in my experience, the Jam Llama series aren’t quite as dirty, perhaps that’s due to their choice of filtering.

      @@AndyDemos Thanks for the info! The llama is very intriguing 🙏

  • @DoglessEndeavor
    @DoglessEndeavor 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did they fix the crazy self-oscillation from the first one? Within about 10 minutes of owning mine, I knew I couldn’t use it and returned it. Putting the repeats barely above noon was a recipe for feedback. A pity.

    • @AndyDemos
      @AndyDemos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Sorry but sounds like the internal blue trimpot which controls the maximum repeat amount was set higher on yours. The manual mentions this feature and the same trimpot is also on the mk.3 version. I set it to ease into oscillation about 75%.

    This analog delay or Dm-2w? 🤔

    • @AndyDemos
      @AndyDemos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I guess that depends on which tone you prefer and whether you need tap tempo or not. Luckily I demoed the DM-2w with roughly the same recording setup a few years back. Good luck!
