It sucks that I can't comment.
Ive been living like this man.
As I text on my homemade cabin.ive cut every tree and peeled them with my machete.
      It's cold.
And my wool keeps me warm.
It's not that hat hard folks.
      Just need.
      Need to have a place..
      Need of shelter.
I'd love to show you pic's butt it's not allowed.
God bless anyone else who does the activity of building your own cabin.
That's what I've been down for years and now.
Canada please accept my humble request for the isotationi truly want.

Dick was a hero for all those who long for peace in the wilderness. He was really the first vlogger. Dick's final request was that the park rangers would rake his beach. The park rangers to this day meticulously will rake his beach in honor of his last request. He actually would rake the beach in front of his cabin because he wanted it to look great and didnt' want any garbage on it. He could tell you what animals would walk on it and if people had walked on it. His videos and notes were priceless to those studying the animals and the area. Because of him, twin Lakes is one of the most popular and sought out places in Alaska. It's the mecca for campers, hikers and outdoorsmen. Whenever I get really stressed I love watching the dvd's and rereading his books. Thanks Dick; we will never forget you.

@danieljliversLXXXIX I don't have a problem with you fairies fantasizing about your little utopia as a form of escapism, or whatever. But once you start curtailing individual freedom, boys WILL be dangling from helicopters, if you're catching my drift. Everyone can agree on that we should help the poor, but who do you little basement dwelling desk-jockeys think you are looking to, for example, nationalize private possessions (because you're too incompetent to earn your own)?
People do not owe people anything. Just because your mother shat you out one day does not mean that other people should be forced to maintain you.
And besides: how many times does communism have to fail before you dunderheads realize it doesn't work anyway?

    • @liverturcxdanpavs
      @liverturcxdanpavs 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@danieljliversLXXXIX No, I do not think it is okay to kill communists. However, I also don't think it's okay to let certain radicals violently seize power in order to install a totalitarian government. This should at all times be prevented, whether these radicals are communists, or dirtbags like Pinochet himself (let's be honest). So that we can continue to enjoy the benefits of liberal democracy as we have it in the West. Which still is the most inclusive system to date in which everyones opinion is heard, taken in consideration and can be realized provided there is enough support.
But before we elaborate on this it is quite important to make the following notice: You can see that I said 'the West’, but considering that the economic and social situation is very different between western European countries (reciprocally) and the United States, it should be noted that my observations are coming from me as a citizen of a European country in which very robust social services are in place. We are doing extremely well in terms of securing shelter, food, work, benefits etc. to the less fortunate, even though a *classically liberal* party is in power!
This brings me straight to the following question:
Why do you lot think the equal distribution of capital is the only way to ensure that basic needs are met?

This narrator’s voice, is absolutely the best for these episodes along with the tone and timbre for Mr. Proenneke’s filming and adventures while living alone in Alaska. I learned about Mr. Proenneke over 14 years ago when I was living in Montana. This series was on PBS one evening and I just happened to catch it one night and have been heavily influenced and inspired by his self reliance and self confidence, knowing that he could survive and not just survive but thrive, living on his own, literally in the middle of nowhere!!! Just so freakin amazing and a great way to learn about how someone can live on his own in Alaska. Lots and lots of lessons can be learned from this series and I sure have learned a lot. I could never get tired of watching these episodes! I especially love the little vermin’s sound of him trying to tear of the meat!! Just fantastic sound and growl coming from that little ferocious critter!!
You can feel the isolation that exists up there. Anyway that’s all I’ll say, this is just awesome and awesome that he had the fortitude to film and document all of his adventures..👏🏻 😎🙏🏻🙏🏻
