Because we don’t have design capability in railway. They just reusing the same livery design for all these different type of train due to lack of ideas.

The most important thing for safety, convenience for old and children, for easy boarding with luggage and children, easy for foreign tourists etc, is platform level boarding. If it can be easily done on all metros and even RRTS, with all this money spent on new trains and stations, why can't they implement one of the most important conveniences?

@@chi-8289 these are new trains, but the those old coaches are still in use, when those coaches were made the then ministers and railway people didn't cared enough for the difference of platform height. That's why this problem is here now, once those old coaches gets discontinued, we'll be able to see the platform height increase happening and platform level boarding will be there. If I'm correct a coach life cycle is about 40 years. So these are already old coaches, we'll have to wait for couple of years more. And yes the station renovations are mostly facelifts and more f.o.b and escalators/elevators installation, length increase of platforms, more shades etc. But the platform height cannot be increased now. And as per the name Vande Metro, I think they named this because this train will connect outskirts with metro cities (Not like metro trains which runs within metro cities). But yes the inside is very modern that's we have to admit.

An old person or pregnant lady or someone who travels with family and children cares about accessing the train without falling into the tracks, in the rush of Indian stations, where people are pushing,n They don't care how the pilot cabin looks or the train looks, which none of us are ever going to see in our lives. If old coaches are the issue, then in re-developed stations, 50% of the platforms could have been dedicated to old coaches and rest for the new trains with Platform level boarding. For example, if a station has 4 platforms, at least 2 could have been made modern. Modern doesn't mean some crazy designs to fool people, it should be functional and useful. The fact is that, Indian engineers and Railway babus are not capable of designing or producing such trains and stations. Don't blame old coaches. Every country which has a semi high speed or high speed rail system had transitioned gradually from climbing on to a train to platform level boarding. Even India has RRTS and Metros by Alstom with platform level boarding. Railway babus are incapable, they just eat money in the name of station redevelopment
A 6 hour long journey in those seats with no pushback will be very uncomfortable. IR should have given a regular vande Bharat in this route, and run it in a 2.5-3 hour long route like the memu trains. And who will enter the office after 11 am? Its timing does not fit with daily passenger requirements.
