Rage For Order is still today, an avant-garde rock album . And Geoff Tate has been and is an invaluable voice . I feel a deep envy for those who were lucky enough to attend this show.
+metalheart80s Yes, "Rage for Order" was not a typical metal or hard rock album, but was a great combination of metal, prog, and goth/industrial influences.
I agree....I actually saw two shows on this tour. My first Queensryche experience was on The Warning tour where they opened for Kiss in Sacramento, CA. From there on out I saw them at least six times over the years. Operation Mindcrime was awesome and Building Empires was when they hit their prime. That tour was unreal.
For me Rage for order is their very best album, I love it beyond words!! Lucky you all guys who have seen the band in the 80s, the vocal performance of Geoff Tate is out of this world!!
I was there! They played there Feb 13 and 14, 1987. I remember it well because I flew home feb 12th to see them in convert and while walking through LaGuardia airport towards baggage claim was Geoff Tate! I got to speak with him briefly.. I'll always remember the date and place where I first saw them live!
I was there that night...On the right side of the stage in the middle. It was so fucking hot in there I took off my jacket and was still dripping in sweat....Outside was cold as fuck. There was way way too many bodies in there that night. I mean I seen Armored Saint, W.A.S.P. and Metallica at Lamour's in Brooklyn and it wasn't that jammed with people.....It was a great night though and Tate sang alot with the mic off as his voice was smokin that night!!!!
So cool to see this 37 years later. One of those long haired headbangers was me. It was sooo hot inside. I came out of the show to find that someone stole my car stereo and all my tapes.
I remember going to rock shows in the mid-late 1980s and Queensryche was often opening for big bands like Maiden and Priest. But we always loved Queensryche too, esp their first four records. Absolutely amazing albums!
wow never thought I would see video from this show .Everything was rolling along great and then my brothers car shot a piston thru the engine on the BQE on way home from this show and if anyone knows there is no shoulder and we were stuck on a blind curve.Almost got destroyed by Tractor trailer.I even got to meet the guys outside all by myself as they were exiting the side door to limo.Got a few high fives.Top ten metal bands of all time
Yes it was February and it was probably 105 in the club. I remember the mirrots along the VIP area were sweating from condensation. Every now and then the club's bouncers would open the exit doors to the sides of the stage to let cold air in and steam would rush in from the drastic change in temperature.
Neither of us have never seen that ever again because the management of L'Amour East violated the occupancy code that night but A LOT. Its no wonder it was so hot in there.
AWESOME!!! I saw them at all 3 shows they played that weekend. I was actually the DJ at L'Amours East when this show took place. I do believe this was at L'Amour's East in Queens though and not in Brooklyn. Is there any more footage available? The sound is excellent which I also remember being quite crisp and clear for those shows. THANK YOU!!!!
I saw them on this tour opening for AC/DC . I enjoyed them more than AC/DC. Great songs executed brilliantly to the fullest live. I also remember them opening up for Dio’s Holy Diver tour and they were supporting their EP. Doesn’t get any better than that.

Favorite Queensryche song
Geoff Tate!
the whole show circulates on video.
Pretty awesome audio, especially considering when it was recorded.

@HoytDrummer You are right, thanks...Correcting it now
I believe this came from the DVD that I authored a few years ago. It's actually an EX quality audience recording, not soundboard.

YEAH 🚼
Alex... JoRoxstaar! was the DJ at L'Amour East for these shows. Why would you even say something like that?
it was L'amour east
You know it was the 80s when there's a guy wearing a muscle shirt with a fro noshing in front of the guy filming
NOT THE WHISPER TUNE!
Damn, I wish QR was still making music with such passion! RIP QR.......
